    Climb the 103 steps to the top of Portland Observatory and enjoy the views of Portland and Casco Bay.
  • Wadsworth
    Longfellow House-Visit Wadsworth-Longfellow House, the boyhood home of poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
  • The Maine Historical Society Museum
    The Maine Historical Society Museum is also well worth a visit, showcasing exhibitions that feature art and artifacts that bring Maine history to life.
  • Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad
    The Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad is an historic narrow gauge steam train. The train departs on the hour between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and passengers can enjoy the views of Casco Bay while riding along the waterfront by the Eastern Promenade.
  • Portland Head Light
    Portland Head Light is Maine's oldest lighthouse, built during George Washington's presidency,and is located on the shores of Cape Elizabeth. The 80-ft. tower was originally lit with 16 whale-oil lamps. Today there are a number of interpretive displays at the museum onsite.
