  • Musee des Beaux-Arts
    The building itself is extraordinary built in 1878 by Princess Kojchoubey. In this museum you will find an unbelievable collection of Italian and French paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries. Many 19th century movements such as Impressionism and post-Impressionism are also represented via sculptures and paintings.
  • Le Chateau
    Enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the city and sea. While you won’t see much of the castle since only a few sections of it remain it is still well worth the time.
  • Musee Matisse
    This fine museum is located across the street from the former residence of Matisse who called Nice home from 1917 to 1954. The stunning 17th –century villa houses as unbelievable permanent collection of paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures. You will even find some of the furniture and items that feature in his paintings. The museum is surrounded by olive groves and is just a short walk to the cemetery where this artist is buried.
  • Beaches
    In Nice, beaches run along the entire seafront. These beaches are some of the most popular found in the French Riviera. Be sure to bring along some beach shoes and a padded mat because the rocky beaches can be a bit uncomfortable.
