Balicana is a cozy Asian restaurant that is just a 3 minute walk from the beach. Surrounded by lush vegetation in a classical, Mediterranean style courtyard, it features a good selection of various vegetarian, chicken, shrimp or beef dishes. The chef is very flexible and will customize a dish to your liking such as spicy hot or not so spicy. Prices for main courses are $9-$14. They are open for lunch and dinner. The official currency of La Romana is the Peso Oro (DOP). Most places will take USD but you will get pesos in change. ATMs are available in the terminal, or, very near the cruise terminal.
