Callao port is Lima, Peru’s most important seaport. Lima is the 5th largest Latin American city with a population just about 9 million strong. Founded by the Spanish conquistador Pizarro in 1535, and referred as “the city of kings,” the Lima of today is home to roughly one third of the people of Peru.

Built on and around a peninsula, Callao post is rich in pre- and post-Columbian history. A historical fortress, the Castillo de Real Felipe (site of "Rodil's Last Stand"), was finished in 1774 and stands on the promontory overlooking the harbor.

Callao Port is enchanting, with museums that preserve history back to pre-Columbian days, the elegant Colonial and Baroque Renaissance architecture, and the charming plazas, you'll likely be entranced by Lima!
