Using WiFi, Cell Phones and Internet on the Celebrity Century

You can access the internet on the Celebrity Century. There is also an internet cafe on the Celebrity Century.

The Celebrity Century is WiFi at specified hot spots throughout the ship and in the Internet Cafe. The Celebrity Century does provide PC's at Internet cafes located on the Promenade Deck (Deck 6) and the Entertainment Deck (Deck 7). You can choose from the Celebrity Century "pay-as-you-go" rate with your own laptop. As long as your computer is WiFi enabled, you should be able to get internet access on while onboard the Celebrity Century.

Mac OS Users -- download the Firefox web browser before you get on the ship if you plan on accessing the Internet while onboard. We have reports of compatibility issues with the Safari web browser that may prevent you from getting online.

The following packages are available:

• The In and Out Package is $24.95 for 49 minutes,
• The In Touch Package is $49.95 for 90 minutes,
• The Informed Package is $99.95 fror 208 minutes.
• The Interact Package is for $199.95 for 555 minutes.
• The Involved Package is $399.95 for 1666 minutes.

If you want don't buy a package, it's 75 cents per minute. Please note that Celebrity may change these prices without advance notification.

Choices for making and receiving phone calls and text messages (SMS) while onboard the Celebrity Century.

Cell phone roaming is enabled on the Celebrity Century, however, the system can be pricey as the price plans feature international roaming rates and data charges (this can be very expensive). Contact your mobile phone operator to ensure that your account is activated for international roaming and inquiry as to per minute rates and data charges.

To avoid shockingly high roaming charges -a nasty surprise for most of us after cruises- Celebrity Cruises has introduced fleet wide AT&T Cruise Ship Packages that you can opt for through AT&T! This plan has three tiers, as follows:

• Talk: for 30 USD for 30 days, this tier offers 50 minutes. Overage fees are $1.00 (USD) per minute.
• Talk and Text: for 60 USD for 30 days, Talk and Text provides 50 talk minutes and 100 texts/videos/pictures. Overages on talk minutes cost $1.00 (USD) per minute, and text/picture/video overages are billed at $.50 (USD) each.
• Talk, Text, and Data: for 120 USD for 30 days, this top tier offers 50 talk minutes, 100 texts/pictures/videos, and 100 MB data. Overage fees are $1.00 USD per talk minute, $.50 (USD) for each text/video/picture overage, and $10 (USD) per 10 MB overage.

Celebrity Century WiFi, Cell Phones & Internet Tips:

• Internet speed will vary, and will depend upon how many people are accessing WiFi, where your ship is located, and weather conditions.
• Be prepared for slow -as in dial up slow- internet connections.
• To add the AT&T Cruise Ship package, call 800-335-4685 or +1-916-843-4685. From abroad, these are free wireless calls.
• The AT&T Cruise Ship packages expire after 30 days.
• AT&T will not prorate for early cancellation of a package.
