Carnival Splendor Pool, Water Slide, and Sunbathing

The Carnival Splendor has three salt water pools-  the Splendido Pool, the Liner Pool, and the Thunderball Pool.

The Splendido Pool, located mid ship on Lido Deck (Deck 9), is 30' by 16' and 4'6" deep. A retractable roof is above the Splendido Pool, which has two whirlpools nearby. Forward in this pool area is the 264 sq. ft. Carnival Seaside Theater, which features sporting events and music videos by day and "Dive-In" movies at night. A stage for musicians and staff is beneath the movie screen. The Splendido Pool is open from 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM. 

The Liner Pool is aft on Lido Deck (Deck 9). This pool is 21' by 16' and 4'6" in depth.  This pool is considered to be the "adults only" pool, but Carnival Cruises' enforcement of this policy is considered to be haphazard. If sunbathing in peace and quiet is your goal as a grown up, we suggest the Serenity Retreat (forward on Sun Deck).

The Thunderball Pool features one whirlpool spa. On Spa Deck (Deck 11) this pool is 18' by 18' and 4' deep. The Thunderball Pool is nearby the Twister waterslide's landing area. Operating hours are from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Carnival's Twister is a 214' long tube waterslide that is entered on Sky Deck (Deck 14). It is 3-stories high, and empties out into its own separate pool. The water slide typically operates from 9 AM to sunset on sea days.

The Splash Park, located mid ship on Spa Deck (Deck 11), features whimsical water sprays, and can be enjoyed by children and adults!.

Carnival Splendor Pool, Water Slide, and Sunbathing Tips:

• When arriving in the pool area, you will need to sign-out a towel. There will be a 22 USD charge per towel to your onboard account for each towel you fail to return. These are sturdy towels and if you want to purchase one, you can from the order form in your room.
• Babies & Infants in Pools: Carnival's official policy is "no swim diapers, children must be potty trained." Camp Ocean stresses this point to all the families that bring their kids. We have not heard reports on whether the policy is strictly enforced.
• While Carnival does its best to discourage this, sunbathers do show-up at 8 AM and claim lounge chairs for the day.
• With a 70,000 watt sound system, there have been complaints that the Carnival Seaside Theater can be quite loud.
• There is a 42" minimum height requirement for the Twister waterslide.
