Carnival Legend Pool, Water Slides, and Sunbathing

Carnival_pool_conquest_series_1There are three salt water pools on the Carnival Legend- the Camelot Pool, the Avalon Pool, and the Serenity (adults only) Pool.  The Camelot Pool and the Avalon Pool are located mid ship on Lido Deck (Deck 9). Each of these pools are 32' by 13', and are 4'4" deep, and each has an attached whirlpool spa. The Avalon Pool can be enclosed under a retractable roof. At the opposite end of the Camelot Pool is a stage which, during most hours of the day, there is some activity going on -- anything from a Caribbean band to a member of the ship's staff leading an activity or game.

Located aft of The Unicorn Cafe on Lido Deck (Deck 9) is the Adults-Only Serenity Area. There is a spa, pool, full service bar, piped in music, padded loungers, and other comfort features. This is your better bet for peace and quiet by a pool on the Carnival Legend. Because Serenity is next to the Unicorn Lido Buffet, you are only steps away from grabbing a quick bite to eat if you feel like snacking while lying-out under the sun!

Typically, all pools on Carnival Legend are open from 8AM to 8PM, but they close at 6PM on the last sea day.

Carnival_waterworksThe Carnival Legend's Waterworks, located aft on Sports Deck (Deck 11), consists of a a water park with sprays, a two lane kiddie racing slide, the 150 gallon PowerDrencher splash bucket, and two waterslides (the Green Thunder Thrill Slide and the Carnival Twister Slide). The Carnival Twister Slide, a 214' spiraling tube slide, is definitely the tamer choice. The Green Thunder Thrill Slide, on the other hand, is 184' long and includes a 34' long drop as part of the exhilarating fun!

Carnival Legend Pool, Water Slides, and Sunbathing Tips:

  • When arriving in the pool area, you will need to sign-out a towel. There will be a 22 USD charge per towel to your onboard account for each towel you fail to return. These are sturdy towels and if you want to purchase one, you can from the order form in your room.
  • Babies & Infants in Pools: Carnival's official policy is "no swim diapers, children must be potty trained." Camp Ocean stresses this point to all the families that bring their kids. We have not heard reports on whether the policy is strictly enforced.
  • While Carnival does its best to discourage this, sunbathers do show-up at 8 AM and try to hog the lounge chairs for the day.
