The Radiance of the Seas' spa has a wide array of choices for day spa services: massages, acupuncture, body wraps, slimming treatments, facial treatments, tooth whitening, steam rooms, and water therapies. The spa is managed by Steiner, the leader in spa management for the majority of the cruise lines.

Check when aboard for the current list of services being offered on your cruise. Of particular interest in the Radiance of the Seas' spa facilities are the couples massage room, men's & women's steam rooms, and a dry float bed (used in body wraps). The spa is located on Decks 11 and 12.

Adjacent to the spa on Deck 12, the salon on the Radiance of the Seas offers hair styling, cutting, coloring, eye brow shaping, waxing, manicures, pedicures, and facial treatments.

• Make certain to book any Salon and Spa menu of services early -- they tend to fill up quickly.
• Some services are offered at a discount. Check the Cruise Compass for details. But keep in mind that the reduced price may mean less time is allotted for the service.
• Take some time for you with a hot stone massage.
• If you think a cruise would be a good time to try acupuncture, consider that a potential side effect with the treatment is possible bruising. This probably isn't something you would want to deal with depending on your formal evening attire. That said, many people find that the benefits of acupuncture outweigh any risks of bruising. Bruising is not a major concern, but can happen especially for people with sensitive and thin skin.
• Try the Thermal Suite-warmed tiled loungers that will take care of all those muscles you used but didn't know you had while rock climbing.
