The Spa & Salon Facilities on the Caribbean Princess:
Caribbean Princess Spa
The Lotus Spa on the Caribbean Princess is located on Deck 16 (Sun Deck). The spa's menu provides a variety services, such as soothing massages, acupuncture, body wraps, slimming treatments, facial treatments, tooth whitening, steam rooms, and water therapies.
Steiner manages the spa on the Caribbean Princess, and also manages the majority of the spas on most of the cruise lines. You should check onboard for the current list of services being offered on your cruise.
Of particular interest in the Caribbean Princess spa facilities are the couples massage room, men's & women's steam rooms, and a dry float bed (used in body wraps). The Lotus Spa also offers mother/daughter and father/son massage services through the Generation Y Spa program.
Caribbean Princess Salon
The Salon on the Caribbean Princess offers hair styling, cutting, coloring, eyebrow shaping, waxing, manicures, pedicures, and facial treatments.
Caribbean Princess Spa & Salon Tips:
-
Make certain to book any Salon and Spa menu of services early -- they tend to fill up quickly. Also, be on the lookout for discounts offered for making appointments on the first or second day of the cruise. If you can't make it the day of the discount, or if they are full, ask for an appointment at the discount rate for the following day. It doesn't hurt to ask, and more often than not, they will honor the discounted price.
-
If you set up an appointment and then cancel, the spa may charge 50% of the services you were to have provided in that time slot- so plan accordingly.
-
For a refreshing treat, try an oxygen-lifting facial.
-
There will be drawings throughout the cruise for free services. Most of the time, you have to be there at the appointed time to win. It is worth showing up. This is especially true on sunny days in port, when drawings may be offered before leaving port. Some people will still be off the ship and enjoying the sights. That will increase your odds of winning.
