Norwegian Epic Main Dining Rooms

Norwegian Cruise Line created Freestyle Dining, which is a flexible approach to dining in the restaurant of your choice, at a convenient time for you. You can also make reservations prior to your cruise. While aboard the Norwegian Epic, you have the options to make dining reservations using the touchscreen monitors on the ship, or by using the TV in your stateroom or suite.

The main dining rooms, the Taste and Manhattan, feature the same entrees for supper. The rotating supper menu includes a choice of seven appetizers, such as Salads (Roma Tomato Salad, Boston Salad with pecans and gorgonzola, Mixed Greens with avocado), Tortellini, Conch Fritters, Fried Brie, Crab Souffle, Roasted Butternut Squash, and Beef Carpaccio. There are Classic favorites offered every evening... Caesar Salad, Rotisserie Chicken, Dorado Ceviche, and Poached Salmon are examples of these. The two A la Carte entrees are for an additional charge, with lobster currently priced at 19.99 USD and Surf & Turf for 24.99 USD. One Chef's Special choice is always an option- Roasted Beef Tenderloin, New York Strip Steak Diane, and Beef Wellington are examples of these. The five Featured Entrees on your menu will include one vegetarian option, such as Winter Vegetable Tajine, Italian Baked Eggplant, and Vegetable Curry. Grilled Salmon, Roasted Cornish Hen, Wiener Schnitzel, Seafood Brochette, pork loin, baked turkey, and Grilled Swordfish are examples of non-vegetarian Featured Entrees. For dessert, the fruit plate, the Warm Chocolate Lava Cake, cheese and grapes, and ice cream and sherbet are always available, and the rotating options include Cherries Jubilee, Pistachio Creme Brulee, Coconut Souffle, and Boston Cream Pie. Each menu lists three recommended wines that you can purchase by the glass or by the bottle.

Taste

The Norwegian Epic's Taste dining room is located aft of the Atrium on Deck 5. This restaurant is appointed in maroon, greys, and cream colors. Tables nearest the Atrium are beneath a sparkling chandelier! Taste is open for breakfast, lunch, and supper. For breakfast (7:30 to 9:30 AM), the menu consists of continental fare plus eggs cooked to your preference, and bacon and sausage. The lunch menu offers more variety than the breakfast menu, and offers appetizers (Chicken Pho, Tomato Soup, Chicken Nachos, Popcorn Shrimp, etc.), sandwiches (cheeseburgers, tuna salad, Philly Cheesesteak, and Grilled Cajun Grouper), and Main Entrees such as Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf, Spinach Frittata, Fried Chicken, and Fish and Chips. Desserts include Fresh Fruit, Ice Cream, and Sherbet as staples, and other choices such as Key Lime Parfait, Orange Chocolate Mousse, and Peanut butter Cup Cheesecake. Lunch is served from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM and supper hours are from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

The Manhattan Room

The Manhattan Room restaurant on the Norwegian Epic is located aft on Deck 6. The Manhattan Room, with magnificent two tiered windows and Art Deco designs, is the largest of the main dining rooms on the Norwegian Epic. This venue provides you all the ambiance of an elegant New York supper club with dinner and dancing! The Manhattan Room features the same menu choices you will have in the Taste and Savor main dining rooms. This venue is open only for supper (5:30 to 9:30 PM).

Tips for the Norwegian Epic's Main Dining Rooms

• Bare feet, jeans, shorts, tank tops, and swim wear are not permitted. As a rule, shorts and jeans are not permitted after 6:00pm. For gentlemen, smart casual such as slacks and polo style shirts are more appropriate at dinner time.
• Meals are no cost, but special beverages, wines, beer, and soft drinks may be purchased via current bar menu.
• When ordering steaks and other meats, specify your grilling preference.

NCL Freestyle Dining on the Norwegian Epic

Throughout your Norwegian Epic cruise, you'll be able to savor cuisine as you wish on your time! From 5:45pm to midnight, both main dining rooms provide first come, first serve seating. Wait time is usually 20 minutes, and parties of ten plus may be accommodated at different tables. All tips / the tipping policy for the main dining room does apply.
