Celebrity Xpedition Main Dining Room

Darwin Restaurant:

The Darwin Restaurant, the Celebrity Xpedition's main dining room, is port side and aft of the gift shop on Marina Deck.

Celebrity has a well-earned reputation for fine dining, in no small part because of their nearly two decades long partnership with Master Chef Michael Roux. Many of Celebrity's top chefs trained under Roux at his Michelin starred Waterside Inn located in London. Michael Roux also provided onboard training on over 100 Celebrity cruises, and his influence on Celebrity's cuisine and dining experiences is very much evident.

The Darwin serves breakfast and lunch buffet style. For breakfast, there are also made to order eggs and omelets. Lunch fare consists of grilled fish, roasted chicken, salads, and freshly baked bread. For dinner, Celebrity's five course menu with table side service begins, and entrees include freshly prepared soups and salads, with fish, beef selections, and roasted chicken among main entrees.

Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 8:45am. Lunch is from noon to 1:30pm. Early dinner time is 6:15pm, and the late dinner is 8:45pm. For dinner, when you book your cruise you will need to choose from early or late dinner seatings. Alternatively, you can opt for Celebrity Cruises Select Time Dining which gives you the option to choose your exact dining time once onboard the ship. You can even show-up at any time during the dinner hours and you will be seated as soon as a table comes available. The wait is generally not more than a few minutes.

Celebrity also provides a nice selection of vegetarian entrees and the Lean & Light selections also meet nutritional standards for diabetic needs.

• Ecuadorean influences are detected among main entrees.
• If you love fish, you'll be quite pleased -- fish is favored in Ecuador over beef.
• Beef is not the best on the Celebrity Xpedition -- not a great supply of quality beef out of Ecuador.

• We suggest you check when aboard for breakfast and lunch hours.
• Dinner is served from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and no reservations are required.
• For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, bare feet and swim wear are not permitted.
• For gentlemen, nice shirts and shorts are acceptable but smart casual such as slacks and polo style shirts are more appropriate at dinner time.
• Meals and most beverages are included in your fare.
• When ordering steaks and other meats, specify your grilling preference.
