Celebrity Silhouette Main Dining Room: The Grand Cuvee

The Grand Cuvee on the Celebrity Silhouette is located aft on Plaza and Promenade Decks. Celebrity has a well-earned reputation for fine dining, in no small part because of  their nearly two decades long partnership with Master Chef Michael Roux. Many of Celebrity's top chefs trained under Roux at his Michelin starred Waterside Inn located in London. Michael Roux also provided onboard training on over 100 Celebrity cruises, and his influence on Celebrity's cuisine and dining experiences is very much evident. While the partnership with Roux has concluded, his legacy lives on with the cuisine of Celebrity Cruises.

The Grand Cuvee, with its sculptured wine tower and two tiers of dining, has an inviting yet sophisticated ambience. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the Grand Cuvee offers entrees that delight the taste buds. For breakfast, the menu includes sliced cheeses, basics such as bacon and scrambled eggs and eggs cooked to order, yogurt, and fruit. For lunch, your menu begins with Starters, Soups, and Salads such as Fattouch Salads, Salad Bowls, and Cheese Ravioli. Grilled Scallops and Shrimp exemplify the Healthy Choice that follows. Vegetarian Choices include Chilled Sweet Potato Soup, Cauliflower and Potato Cakes, and Spinach Ricotta Tarts. For Main Courses, Fried Coconut Crusted Mahi Mahi, Baked Chicken Rolls, and Grilled Minute  Steaks are examples of entrees. Lunch options also include grilled entrees such as New Orleans Muffulettas, Burgers, and Hot Dogs. Ice cream, Bavarian Cream Pie, and Banana Cream Pie are examples of desserts.

For dinner, the Grand Cuvee offers "Celebrity Favorites" that remain constant as well as alternating entrees. Appetizers include Antipasti, Escargot, Double Baked Cheese Souffle, and Shrimp Cocktail. Examples of Soups and Salads are Lobster Bisque, Prosciutto and Arugula, Caprese Salad, Caesar Salad, and French Onion Soup. (You can opt for an entree sized salad with your choice of grilled chicken or shrimp.) For Main Entrees, Stuffed Portobella Mushrooms, Broiled Salmon, Grilled Chicken, and Grilled New York Sirloin are examples. Desserts in the evening include Apple Pie a la Mode and New York Cheesecake.

Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 8:45am. Lunch is from noon to 1:30pm. Early dinner time is 6:15pm, and the late dinner is 8:45pm. For dinner, when you book your cruise you will need to choose from early or late dinner seatings. Alternatively, you can opt for Celebrity Cruises Select Time Dining which gives you the option to choose your exact dining time once onboard the ship. You can even show-up at any time during the dinner hours and you will be seated as soon as a table comes available. The wait is generally not more than a few minutes.

Tips for the main dining room on the Celebrity Silhouette:

• Breakfast is served from 6:45 am to 8:15 am. Lunch is from noon to 1:30pm. Early dinner time is 6:45 pm, and the late dinner is 8:15 pm. For the Celebrity Select option, dinner is from 6:30 to 9:00 pm.
• Reservations for dinner are required, and it's best to make your dining choices during your booking process. No reservations are required for breakfast or lunch.
• For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, bare feet, jeans, shorts, tank tops, and swim wear are not permitted. For gentlemen, nice shirts and shorts are acceptable but smart casual such as slacks and polo style shirts are more appropriate at dinner time. You'll be most comfortable in elegant attire for formal evenings.
• Meals are no cost, but special beverages, wines, beer, and soft drinks may be purchased via current bar menu.
• When ordering steaks and other meats, specify your grilling preference -- without guidance, steaks are often overdone.

Celebrity Cruises Select Time Dining

Throughout your Celebrity Silhouette cruise, you'll be able to savor cuisine as you wish in the main dining room from 6:00pm to 9:30pm. You may choose Select Time, early dinner, or late dinner during your booking process. Once you've chosen Select Time while booking your cruise, you may also opt for your specific dining time. Select Time also provides you the opportunity when aboard ship to make day to day reservations. Although it's possible to just show up, your wait time is less of an issue when you reserve a specific time. Celebrity is sensitive to special dietary concerns, but it's best to make special arrangements earlier than later.
