Celebrity Summit Best & Worst Staterooms: Summary

Best Cabins on the Celebrity Summit are on Decks 6, 7, and 8

Cabins to be wary of on the Celebrity Summit are on Decks 3, 9, 10, and 11.

Deck-by-Deck Breakdown of the Best and Worst Cabins on the Celebrity Summit

Deck 2 -- Continental Deck

Most of the staterooms on Deck 2 of the Celebrity Summit have cabins above that buffer noise from public venues. However, we cannot rule out the possibility of engine drone in accommodations on Continental Deck.

  • Best cabin picks on the Celebrity Summit Deck 2 are Ocean View Staterooms 2003- 2109, 2002- 2106, 2141- 2147, and 2160- 2198. These are all underneath the cabin area on Plaza Deck and likely to be more noise free than others like them on this deck.
  • Mid ship on Deck 2 of the Celebrity Summit, Interior Staterooms 2135, 2139, 2154, and 2156 are by the stairs. Noise could be of concern when there are a lot of people using the stairs.
  • Port side, Ocean View Staterooms 2149- 2171 and Interior Staterooms 2157- 2173 are beneath the Tuscan Grille. Noise while this venue is open could be an issue in any of these cabins.
  • Port side, Ocean View Staterooms 2175- 2185 and Interior Staterooms 2183 are beneath a kitchen area adjacent to the Tuscan Grille. Noise while this kitchen is busy could be of concern in any of these staterooms. Light sleepers, please note: having a cabin beneath a kitchen is one of the least preferred areas because galleys are typically busy from morning until late into the evening.
  • Starboard, 2152 and 2158 are beneath public bathrooms. Noise, such as hearing water in pipes, could be an issue when the restrooms are busy.
  • Inside cabins 2031 and 2022 are larger and wheelchair accessible, but both happen to be next to elevators; noise could be a problem in either of these staterooms when the lifts are busy.

Deck 3 -- Plaza Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Several cabins on this deck with potential problems.

On the Celebrity Summit, several cabins on Deck 3 are under busy venues -such as the casino and the Rendezvous Lounge- that can produce noise late into the evening. Consequently, we do not recommend these accommodations for light sleepers.

  • Forward on the Summit's Deck 3, Interior Staterooms 3021 and 3018 are larger and wheelchair accessible, but both are situated right next to the stairs. Noise could be an issue in either of these staterooms when there are a lot of people using the stairs.
  • Port side, 3019- 3027 are beneath public bathrooms. Noise (water running through pipes) could be an issue in these staterooms.
  • Cabins to think twice about are Ocean View staterooms 3019- 3111 port side and 3056-3108 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 3029-3061, 3067- 3105, 3058, 3062, and 3070- 3110. These cabins are located beneath the night club and casino areas, and inside cabins are most likely to have noise issues. If you are light sleeper, you may prefer to find a cabin elsewhere on the ship, bring earplugs, or invest in a wave machine (a sound device available at a specialty retailer like Brookstone -- produces pleasant sounds that can wipe out the unpleasant sounds).
  • Starboard, 3112 shares a wall with a public bathroom, so noise could consequently be problematic in this cabin.
  • Starboard, 3112- 3144 are beneath the Rendezvous Lounge. Noise until late in the evening could be a problem in these staterooms.
  • Some of the worst cabins on the Celebrity Summit are on the Plaza Deck. While we are not suggesting the cabins on this deck should be completely avoided, there are staterooms on other decks which will be more quiet.

Deck 6 -- Penthouse Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

The aft section of Penthouse Deck is one the luxury areas of the ship. The best cabins on the Celebrity Summit are generally on the Penthouse Deck. This is where all the suites and penthouse category cabins are located. Given that this is where the high-dollar cabins are, this is also where the Celebrity Summit's best cabin stewards are usually assigned. Please note that Deck 6 has Entertainment Deck's public venues beneath it. However, with the exception of the Celebrity Theater in the forward section of Deck 5, and the top tier of The Metropolitan Restaurant in the aft section below Deck 6, the Entertainment Deck venues should not pose much of a noise concern.

  • Forward, Ocean View Staterooms 6004, 6005, 6012, and 6014 are more spacious than standard and are wheelchair accessible.
  • Port side, 6007- 6035 and starboard cabins 6006- 6030 are over the theater. Noise during rehearsals and performances could be an issue in these staterooms.
  • The "Sweet Sixteen" cabins on Deck 6 are 6021- 6035 port side and 6016- 6030 starboard. The advantage these staterooms have is the fact that their verandas are twice the standard size. The fact that part of these verandas can be viewed from decks above is a consideration, however.
  • Mid ship on Deck 6 of the Celebrity Summit, Ocean View Staterooms with Verandas (6103, 6105, 6107, and 6109) are all larger than standard, have larger verandas, and are wheelchair accessible. We do caution that cabins 6105 and 6107 are right next to the elevators- noise could be of concern when the lifts are busy.
  • For the staterooms and suites in the indented section of the Celebrity Summit, 6055- 6123 port side and 6050- 6124 starboard, the view looking down from the verandas will be obstructed by lifeboats.
  • Sky Suite 6102 has a smaller, semi-private veranda. There are several other Sky Suites of the same class which do not have this concern. These are 6099, 6100, 6101, 6102, 6125-6131, 6126-6132, and 6145 and 6146. Best picks of these are Sky Suites 6145 and 6146 because these are located aft right next to the Penthouse Suites where staff service is likely to be superb. While Sky Suites have the least suite square footage, with 251 sq. ft. interiors and 57 sq. ft. verandas, these accommodations are certainly cozy but not cramped.
  • Sky Suites 6131 and 6132 have oddly shaped & slightly larger verandas than standard on Deck 6 of the Celebrity Summit.
  • Mid ship, Celebrity Suites 6104 and 6106 feature floor to ceiling windows, 467 sq. ft. cabin space, and 85 sq. ft. verandas.
  • Starboard, Veranda Stateroom 6108 has a smaller than standard veranda.
  • Best picks for a top notch Concierge Class Stateroom with Veranda are 6135, 6136, 6143, and 6144 because these are all situated by suites on Deck 6 of the Celebrity Summit. Concierge Class Staterooms feature some extra amenities which include priority check in, expanded room service menu, evening hors d'oeuvres every day, and seating preferences for the main and specialty restaurants.
  • Staterooms and suites 6135-6147 port side and 6134-6148 starboard are over the second tier of the main dining room. Noise is not likely to be as much of a concern, however. The main dining room early morning prep and after hours clean up noise is most likely to be heard from a stateroom underneath the first floor of the main dining room.
  • In the aft section of Deck 6 on the Celebrity Summit, there are eight Royal Suites (6133, 6137, 6139, and 6141 port side and 6134, 6138, 6140, and 6142 starboard). Each provides 538 sq. ft. with a 195 sq. ft. veranda!
  • On the Celebrity Summit's Deck 6, the most luxurious accommodations are Penthouse Suites 6147 and 6148. Each has 1,432 sq. ft. of elegantly appointed interior space, and a 1,098 sq. ft. veranda which commands the least breezy and incredibly beautiful view of the ocean.

Deck 7 -- Vista Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

The Vista Deck of the Celebrity Summit has the advantage of cabins above and beneath which provide a buffer from noises that can be generated from public venues.

  • Forward on Deck 7 of the Celebrity Summit, Ocean View Staterooms 7002 and 7003 are oddly shaped and a bit more spacious than standard.
  • Forward, inside cabin 7032 is larger than average.
  • Outside staterooms 7049 and 7080 have oddly shaped verandas that are slightly larger on the Celebrity Summit's Deck 7.
  • 7171-7177 port side and 7174-7180 starboard also have larger than standard verandas.
  • Mid ship on Deck 7 of the Celebrity Summit, Celebrity Suites 7138 and 7140 have 467 sq. ft. of living space, floor to ceiling windows, and 85 sq. ft. verandas overlooking the ocean!
  • Starboard, 7136 and 7142 have smaller than standard verandas.
  • Because Deck 7 of the Celebrity Summit is more quiet than other decks, we do recommend all interior cabins on this deck- except 7210, because it is somewhat smaller than usual.
  • 7137, 7139, 7141, and 7143 are larger than usual and are wheelchair accessible. Of these, 7139 and 7141 are right by the elevators, where noise could be a noise concern.
  • Aft on Deck 7 of the Celebrity Summit, Family Veranda Staterooms 7199, 7201, 7204, and 7202  each boast up to 271sq. ft. of interior space and have 242 sq. ft. verandas which provide a picturesque, less breezy ocean view! Family cabins are in in short-supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so, it is best to book early to get a family cabin.
  • Of the Concierge Class Staterooms with Verandas on Deck 7 of the Celebrity Summit, we highly recommend 7203, 7212, 7208, and 7206. Of these, 7212 is wheelchair accessible. These are all tucked between the Family Staterooms and will have those great aft views of the ocean!

Deck 8 -- Panorama Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

On the Celebrity Summit, Panorama Deck features accommodations most similar in location and quality to Deck 7. Again, this will be a more quiet deck because cabins above and beneath create a buffer from public areas.

  • Concierge Class Staterooms 8047, 8048, 8049, 8050, 8094, 8096, 8111, and 8115 on occasion may have the window cleaning platforms as view obstructions.
  • Concierge Class Staterooms 8102 and 8108 are right next to the Celebrity Suites, but both have smaller, semi-private verandas.
  • Mid ship on Deck 8 of the Celebrity Summit, Celebrity Suites 8104 and 8106 have 467 sq. ft. of living space, floor to ceiling windows, and 85 sq. ft. verandas overlooking the ocean!
  • The Panorama Deck of the Celebrity Summit is another great place to reserve an inside cabin because it is one of the more quiet decks for staterooms.
  • Sky Suites 8121, 8125, and 8127 are all wheelchair accessible. However, 8121 and 8125 are next to the elevators where noise could be of concern when the lifts are busy. If a wheelchair accessible Sky Suite is your preference, 8127 is your best choice on Deck 8 of the Celebrity Summit.
  • Aft on Deck 8 of the Celebrity Summit, Family Veranda Staterooms 8181, 8183, 8168, and 8166 are very spacious and each have that great (less windy) view of the ocean. As mentioned, family cabins are in in short-supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so it is best to book early to get a family cabin.
  • Concierge Class Staterooms 8185, 8176, 8172, and 8170 are situated between the Family Staterooms. Each will have a great aft view of the ocean. Of these, 8176 is wheelchair accessible.

Deck 9 -- Sky Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Several cabins on this deck with potential problems.

Because many Deck 9 cabins on the Celebrity Summit are under busy public areas on Lido Deck, noise issues can be a concern.

  • Ocean View Staterooms 9000 and 9001, Staterooms with Verandas 9005-9041 port side 9004-9036 starboard are in more quiet locations than the cabins that are more aft on Deck 9 of the Celebrity Summit.
  • On Deck 9 of the Celebrity Summit, cabins most likely to be affected by Lido pool noise are exterior cabins 9043-9117 port side and 9038-9094 starboard, as well as inside cabins 9055-9119. Staff clean the Lido pool areas early in the morning and after hours, so you could hear scraping sounds as deck chairs are moved for sweeping.
  • AquaClass Staterooms 9094 and 9100 have smaller, semi-private verandas on Deck 9 of the Celebrity Summit. Because the deck above juts beyond the veranda depth of cabin 9094, according to past guests' reviews, the view from the veranda is not free of obstructions.
  • Mid ship, Celebrity Suites 9096 and 9098 have 467 sq. ft. of living space, floor to ceiling windows, and 85 sq. ft. verandas!
  • Because of their proximity under Lido, we do not recommend most of the inside cabins on the Celebrity Summit Sky Deck.
  • Sky Suites 9117, 9121, are 9123 wheelchair accessible. If this is your preference, we suggest Suite 9123, because the other two are right next to the elevators and could be noisy.
  • Staterooms in the aft section of Deck 9 of the Celebrity Summit are beneath the Lido buffet. This is a very busy venue from morning to night, so noise could be problematic in any of these cabins.
  • Aft on Deck 9 of the Celebrity Summit, Family Veranda Staterooms 9197, 9199, 9158, and 9156 are very spacious. Each have that great (less windy) view of the ocean. As mentioned, family cabins are in in short-supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so, it is best to book early to get a family cabin. Please note that these staterooms are under the Oceanview aft bar, which could be noisy late at night.
  • The Best Concierge Class Staterooms (9201, 9164, 9162, and 9160) are directly aft and between the family staterooms. Of these, stateroom 9164 is wheelchair accessible. These staterooms are beneath the Sunset bar, so noise could be a problem until late  at night.

Deck 10 -- Resort Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Several cabins on this deck with potential problems.

The AquaClass Staterooms with Verandas on Deck 10 of the Celebrity Summit are conveniently close to the Canyon Ranch Spa and Fitness Center. However, all of these accommodations on Resort Deck are beneath public venues. Light sleepers may want to look for accommodations elsewhere.

  • AquaClass Staterooms 1000- 1016 are beneath the Cosmos Lounge. Noise until late into the evening could be an issue in any of these cabins.
  • AquaClass Staterooms 1018- 1024 are beneath public areas that include a public bathroom. Noise could be of concern in these cabins when these venues are busy.

Related: Celebrity Summit Deck 10 Deck Plan (clickable deck layout to view individual cabin pictures and amenity lists)

Deck 11 -- Sunrise Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Several cabins on this deck with potential problems.

The AquaClass Veranda Staterooms and Interior Staterooms on Deck 11 of the Celebrity Summit are located aft. Beneath these cabins is the Oceanview Cafe and the Oceanview bar, so noise from these venues could be a problem. Above these staterooms is the Rooftop Terrace. Noise when this venue is busy could be a bit of a problem as well. We do not recommend these accommodations for light sleepers.

  • 1101 and 1100 are near door areas, so noise when these are opened  and shut could be an issue.
  • 1119- 1139 (port side), 1118- 1136 (starboard), interior staterooms 1121- 1126, and aft staterooms 1133- 1130 are under the vicinity of the Rooftop Terrace. Noise from the Rooftop Terrace could be problematic in these cabins, especially 1133- 1130.
