Carnival Inspiration Best & Worst Staterooms: Summary

Best Cabins on the Carnival Inspiration are staterooms and suites on Decks5 and 6. Deck 11 also has very good cabins.

Cabins to be wary of on the Carnival Inspiration are stateroom on Deck 7-the Empress Deck.

Deck-by-Deck Breakdown of the Best and Worst Cabins on the Carnival Inspiration

Deck 4 -- Riviera Deck

Cabins on Deck 4 of the Carnival Inspiration have cabins above them -- this means that they are typically more quiet compared to cabins beneath public venues. Light sleepers, however, may want to choose a mid ship stateroom on this deck; in the most forward staterooms, sea noise when the ocean is choppy could be of concern, and in the aft section accommodations propeller vibration and engine noise could be concerns.

  • On Deck 4 of the Carnival Inspiration, in aft cabins R199- R248, guests may notice a bit of propeller vibration.
  • Cabins R154, R141, and R299 are right by elevators, so there may be a noise factor particularly for light sleepers. Looking for another cabin on Deck 4 of the Carnival Inspiration to avoid this situation is one suggestion. Otherwise, we recommend you bring earplugs, or consider investing in a wave machine (a sound device available at a specialty retailer like Brookstone -- produces pleasant sounds that can wipe out the unpleasant sounds).
  • In our opinion, the best situated Ocean View Staterooms on Riviera Deck of the Carnival Inspiration are R76- R148 and R162- R182 port side, and R61- R177.
  • There is an area designated for staff between port side Ocean View Staterooms R152 and R158. Noise could be of concern in either of these cabins.

Deck 5 -- Main Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

Deck 5 has cabins both above and beneath, which does rule out noises that can occur from Carnival Inspiration's entertainment and dining venues.

  • In the most forward Ocean View Staterooms on Deck 5 of the Carnival Inspiration sea noise could be of concern when the waves are choppy.
  • In our opinion, the best situated exterior staterooms on Deck are are as follows. We suggest M160- M172 port side and M161- M181 starboard.
  • Aft exterior accommodations M206- M262 and M211- M269 are also well situated, but we cannot rule out the possibility of engine noise in these cabins.
  • Interior cabins M148 and M149 abut elevators, so we do suggest looking for another cabin on Deck 5 of the Inspiration to avoid noise. Another concern with these staterooms is the fact that there are poles in these cabins that impede moving around.

Deck 6 -- Upper Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

The Upper Deck is a great place to find a quiet cabin on the Carnival Inspiration! This is because most Upper Deck staterooms have cabins above and beneath them to buffer noise from public venues.

  • In our opinion, the best situated exterior staterooms and suites on Upper Deck of the Carnival Inspiration are as follows. Port side through aft, we recommend U12- U50, U74- U108, U124- U144, and U124- U230. Starboard, we suggest U9- U53, U73- U107, U125- U145, and U185- U243.
  • Mid ship on the Inspiration's Upper Deck, in the inside cabins, there may experience some noise from the Plaza & Atrium Bar located one deck above them. These cabins are also less roomy, but are in the Grand Suite service zone.
  • Port side, Ocean View Stateroom U154 is across the hall from the self service laundry facility. Noise and heat could be issues when the laundry is busy.
  • There are 28 Grand Suites on the Upper Deck of the Carnival Inspiration. These are U70- U114 port side and U69- U115. Each will offer 330 sq. ft. with a 70 sq. ft. balcony.

Deck 7 -- Empress Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning***
Some cabins on this deck with potential problems

Cabins on the Empress Deck are likely going to be less quiet than any others to be found on the Carnival Inspiration. While we are not suggesting this deck should be completely avoided, some of the worst cabins on the Inspiration are on Deck 7! This is due to the stage, galley, and dining rooms on Atlantic Deck (one deck above), and the Atrium Bar, and Guest Services & Shore Excursions which are also located just aft of cabins E66 and E67.

  • Forward, port side Ocean View Stateroom E2 is across the hall from the self service laundry. Noise and heat could be issues in this cabin when the laundry is busy.
  • Ocean View Staterooms E2- E42 port side and E1- E43, and Interior Staterooms E6- E44 and E5- E45 are beneath the theater. Noise during rehearsals and performances could be problematic in any of these cabins, and will likely be even more of an issue in the inside cabins in this area.
  • Cabins E66, E67, E68, and E69 are closest to the action in the Atrium, so we suggest that you reserve a cabin further away from these areas if you prefer a more quiet atmosphere on the Inspiration's Empress Deck.
  • Ocean View Staterooms E74- E118 port side and E75- E121 starboard, and Interior Staterooms E80- E120 and E81- E123 are beneath the Mardi Gras dining room. Noise while this dining room is open and when staff are cleaning could be of concern in any of these staterooms.
  • Ocean View Staterooms E128- E176 port side and E131- E191 starboard, and Interior Staterooms E134- E162 and E137- E165 are beneath the ship's galley. Noise while the kitchen is busy, which is from early in the morning until late at night, could be problematic in any of these cabins. Consequently, the staterooms in this area are not recommended for light sleepers.
  • In the aft section of the Empress Deck on the Carnival Inspiration, Ocean View Staterooms E178- E244 port side and E191- E259 starboard, and Interior Staterooms E184- E232, E181- E189, and E197- E247 are beneath the Carnivale main dining room. Noise while the dining room is open and when staff are cleaning could be of concern in any of these cabins.
  • Better areas for staterooms on Deck 7 of the Carnival Inspiration are E46- E58 port side, and E47- E59 and E69- E73 starboard. This is because the venues above the staterooms in these areas do not cause noises late at night.
  • Interior Staterooms E124 and E127 are right next to elevators. Noise could be a concern in either of these staterooms when the lifts are busy
  • All but eight exterior cabins on the Empress Deck feature ocean views on the Carnival Inspiration.

Deck 11 -- Verandah Deck

While Verandah Deck has Spa Carnival directly above and Lido Deck beneath, this is where you will find some of the best cabins to be reserved on the Carnival Inspiration! All outside cabins on Verandah deck feature balconies, and it is our understanding VIP check-in service is available for guests staying in these staterooms.

  • There are 26 Junior Suites and 8 Interior Staterooms on Deck 11 of the Carnival Inspiration.
  • Junior Suites V1 and V2 are closest to the bridge, and there are exterior stairs next to both. As a result, privacy on the balconies could be compromised.
  • Junior Suites V2- V10 port side and V1- V7 starboard, and Interior Staterooms V8 and V12, are beneath the fitness center. Noise could be an issue in any of these cabins while the fitness center is in use.
  • Interior Staterooms V12 and V20 share walls with a staff supply area. Consequently, there could be noise concerns in these staterooms.
  • On the Carnival Inspiration's Verandah Deck, V21, V23, V25, V27, V30, V34, V38, and V42 are Junior Suites with obstructed views.
