Best Cabins on the Carnival Conquest are staterooms and suites on Decks 7, 9, and 10

Cabins to be wary of on the Carnival Conquest are staterooms and suites on Decks 2, 6, and 8.

Deck-by-Deck Breakdown of the Best and Worst Cabins on the Carnival Conquest

Deck 1 -- Riviera Deck

Cabins on the Carnival Conquest's Deck 1 have cabins above them that buffer noise from public areas. However, it's important to remember that the engine room and the propellers are beneath this deck.

  • Guests in staterooms in the most forward section of Deck 1 may hear noise from the ocean during choppy seas.
  • Interior Staterooms 1201 & 1202 on Riviera Deck of the Carnival Conquest have an unusual shape to them. Each has 185 sq. ft. of living space, which is
  • 1208 port side and 1207 starboard are Interior Staterooms. Each will provide 185 sq. ft., two portholes, a twin bed and a single convertible sofa.
  • 1212 port side and 1211 starboard are Interior Staterooms that have upper and lower bunks. Each has 185 sq. ft. and two portholes.
  • 1216 and 1220 port side and 1217 and 1221 starboard are Interior Staterooms with Portholes. Each offers 220 sq. ft. and two portholes.
  • Moving forward to aft, 1224- 1452 port side and 1225- 1461 starboard are Ocean View Staterooms. Each will offer 220 sq. ft. and have a picture window.
  • Between Ocean View Staterooms 1262 and 1264 port side, and 1263 and 1265 starboard, there are staff storage areas. Noise could be an issue when staff are busy in any of these cabins.
  • Starboard, Ocean View Staterooms 1357 and 1359 are across the hall from the Self Service Laundry. Noise and heat could be of concern in these staterooms when the laundry is busy.
  • 1420- 1452, 1429- 1461, 1426- 1456, and 1435- 1465 on the Carnival Conquest are in the aft section of Deck 1. Engine noise and propeller vibration could be concerns in any of these staterooms.

Deck 2 -- Main Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Many cabins on this deck with potential problems.

Deck 2 is right beneath several major public areas on the Carnival Conquest -- the main dining rooms, the ship's galley, and the main lounge. Noise from the areas could be problematic. While it's possible to find a nice cabin on Main Deck, we do not recommend several of these staterooms to light sleepers.

  • Forward, Interior Staterooms 2202 and 2208 port side and 2201 and 2207 starboard each have 185 sq. ft. None have portholes or windows.
  • Interior Staterooms 2212 and 2216 port side and 2211 and 2217 starboard each have 185 sq. ft. and two portholes.
  • Ocean View Staterooms 2216- 2266 port side and 2217- 2267 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 2218- 2268 and 2219- 2269 are beneath the Toulouse Lautrec Main Lounge. Noise could be an issue in any of these cabins during rehearsals and performances, and when staff are cleaning.
  • Port side, 2270- 2276 are beneath public bathrooms. Noise -such as hearing water rush through pipes- could be of concern in these Ocean View Staterooms on Deck 2 of the Carnival Conquest.
  • Ocean View Staterooms 2278- 2286 port side and 2279- 2287 starboard are beneath relatively quiet areas on the Carnival Conquest's Main Deck.
  • Ocean View Staterooms 2288- 2308 port side and 2289- 2309, and Interior Staterooms 2290- 2310 and 2291- 2311 are beneath the Artist's Lobby and staff work areas. Noise could be problematic late into the evening in any of these cabins.
  • Ocean View Staterooms 2312- 2320 port side and 2315- 2323 starboard are respectively beneath the Cassat Card Room and the Pissaro Art Gallery. These are fairly quiet public venues, so these Main Deck staterooms should be good choices!
  • Ocean View Staterooms 2324- 2356 port side and 2319- 2359 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 2314- 2350 and 2317- 2353 are beneath the Renoir main dining room. Noise when this dining room is open, and when staff are cleaning, could be issues in these cabins. Please note that the Renoir serves breakfast and brunch as well as evening dining.
  • Ocean View Staterooms 2360- 2434 port side and 2363- 2437 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 2354, 2358, 2357, and 2361 are beneath the ship's galley. Noise from early in the morning until late at night could be concerns in any of these cabins.
  • Interior Staterooms 2436, 2440, 2439, and 2443 are under public bathrooms. Noise -such as hearing water in pipes- could be problematic in these cabins.
  • 2360 and 2362, 2363 and 2365, 2310 and 2314, and 2311 and 2317 have a staff storage spaces between them. Noise when staff are busy could be noticed.
  • Starboard, Ocean View Staterooms 2365 and 2367 are across the hall from the Self Service Laundry. Noise and heat could be resulting concerns in these cabins when the laundry is busy.
  • In the aft section of Main Deck on the Carnival Conquest, Ocean View Staterooms 2438- 2480 port side and 2441- 2483 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 2444- 2468 and 2447- 2471 are beneath the Monet main dining room. As the Monet is only open for evening service, noise should not be an issue early in the morning. However, it could be a concern at night.
  • The exterior cabins in the aft of the ship  2470-2473) all have unique aft-facing views that are quite picturesque.

Deck 6 -- Upper Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Many cabins on this deck with potential problems.

Along this entire deck, you should be aware that the main drag of the Carnival Conquest is right beneath your cabin -- including some areas that stay fairly noisy into the wee hours. This includes the Disco, Casino, Video Arcade, Teen Disco, and the Main and Aft Lounges.

  • Forward, 6206, 6204, 6202, 6201, 6203, and 6205 are Interior Staterooms that have picture windows. The ocean views from these windows are obstructed by an outdoor walkway. Each offers 185 sq. ft. 6206 and 6205 are oddly shaped, so the room configurations differ from standard.
  • Balcony Staterooms 6220- 6260 port side and 6223- 6263 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 6224- 6262 and 6227- 6265 are above the Toulouse Lautrec Main Lounge. Noise could be a problem during rehearsals and performances, and when staff are cleaning, in any of these cabins.
  • Balcony Staterooms 6268- 6284 port side and 6271- 6331 starboard are over the Fun Shops. Noise is likely not much on an issue in these cabins, so these would be good choices on Upper Deck of the Carnival Conquest.
  • Port side, Balcony Staterooms 6288- 6304 are over the Sports Bar. Noise until late into the evening could be an issue in any of these cabins.
  • Balcony Staterooms 6308- 6356 port side and 6335- 6383 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 6310- 6354, 6293- 6307, and 6333- 6383 are above the Tahiti Casino and Impressions Bar. Noise until the wee hours could be a concern in any of these cabins.
  • Starboard, Balcony Staterooms 6385 and 6387 are across the hall from the Self Service Laundry. Noise and heat could be resulting concerns in these cabins when the laundry is busy.
  • Balcony Staterooms 6364- 6458 port side through aft and 6393- 6409 starboard through aft, and Interior Staterooms 6366- 6378, 6393- 6409, 6420- 6448, and 6451- 6479 are above Club O2, the video arcade, bars, and the aft lounge. Many of these venues are open until late at night, so noise could be an issue in any of these cabins.
  • Some of the worst cabins on board the Carnival Conquest are on the Upper Deck. While we are not suggesting this deck be completely avoided, light sleepers may prefer to find a cabin elsewhere on the ship, or, bring earplugs or a wave machine (a sound device available at a specialty retailer like Brookstone -- produces pleasant sounds that can wipe out the unpleasant sounds).
  • The Balcony category cabins in the rear of the Carnival Conquest ( 6452-6483) all have over sized balconies and those highly sought after rear facing views.

Deck 7 -- Empress Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

  • Forward, 7206, 7204, 7202, 7201, 7203, and 7205 are Interior Staterooms that have picture windows. The ocean views from these windows are obstructed by an outdoor walkway. Each offers 185 sq. ft. 6206 and 6205 are oddly shaped, so the room configurations differ from standard.

  • There are 40 Category OS Ocean Suites on Empress Deck of the Carnival Conquest. These are 7228- 7282 and 7314- 7330 port side and 7231- 7283 and 7317- 7333 starboard. Each offers 275 sq. ft. with a 65 sq. ft. balcony.

  • Aft, Premium Vista Balcony Staterooms 7440 and 7445 each have an over sized balcony that will provide opportunities for wonderful aft views. Each of these balconies is 75 sq. ft.
  • Aft View Extended Balcony Staterooms 7442- 7447 will also have larger than standard balconies. Each of these balconies is 60 sq. ft.

Deck 8 -- Verandah Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Many cabins on this deck with potential problems.

Verandah Deck cabin on the Carnival Conquest are beneath Lido Deck. This means that, with the exception of accommodations in Deck 8's forward section, these cabins are under the pools and the Lido Buffet. Light sleepers are advised to either seek a cabin in the forward section of Verandah Deck, or locate accommodations elsewhere.

  • If you have your heart set on Lido Deck, we suggest Balcony Staterooms 8202- 8284 port side and 8201- 8285 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 8206- 8250, 8272- 8286, 8205- 8251, and 8273- 8287. These cabins are the only accommodations on Deck 8 that do not have busy public noise producing areas above them.
  • The rest of the staterooms on the Carnival Conquest's Verandah Deck are under public venues and areas from which noise could emanate. Deck 9 -- Lido Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

The staterooms and suites on the Carnival Conquest's Lido Deck are close to the pool, spa & gym facilities, but most have cabins above and beneath to buffer noise. Deck 9 also boasts the two most luxurious suites available on this ship!

  • Forward on the Lido Deck of the Carnival Conquest, 9200 and 9201 are both Scenic Grand Ocean View Staterooms. Each will offer more than the average 320 sq. ft. and have amazing views from large picture windows.
  • Between the Scenic Grand Ocean View Staterooms are four forward facing Scenic Ocean View Staterooms. Each will offer 220 sq. ft. and have a large picture window.
  • 9202 and 9203 are Captain's Suites. Each will offer 500 sq. ft. with a 150 sq. ft. balcony.
  • 9268- 9272 are across the hall from the laundry area. Noise and heat could be issues in either of these staterooms when this self serve laundry is busy.
  • Balcony Staterooms 9274 and 9273 are across the halls from the elevator area. Noise from public traffic when the elevators are in peak use could be problematic.
  • Balcony Staterooms 9276- 9294 port side and 9275- 9293 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 9292, 9286, 9291,. and 9285 have the deck around the Star Pool and the waterslide above. This area may not be the best location for light sleepers!
  • While there are doors to suppress the sound from the pool area, cabins 9294 and 9293 are a bit close to the pool area and you may prefer to move further forward.

Deck 10 -- Panorama Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

Cabins on the Panorama Deck on board the Carnival Conquest are close to the pool, and the spa and fitness facilities. Many, but not all, of these staterooms have the added benefit of cabins above and beneath; these accommodations will be fairly quiet. With a bit of careful planning, it is possible to find a very nice cabin for cruising on Deck 10.

  • Forward, 1004, 1002, 1001, and 1003 are beneath the fitness center. Noise could be an issue while the gym is open to the public, and during times when staff are using it.
  • In our opinion, the best situated Balcony Staterooms are 1022- 1050 port side and 1023- 1051 starboard.
  • While there are doors to suppress the sound from the Carnival Conquest's pool area, cabins 1062 and1067 are a bit close to the pool area and you may prefer to move further forward. Also, please note that neither of these cabins have staterooms above them, so noise could be an issue from that direction as well.

Deck 11 -- Spa Deck

The key feature of these cabins is that they are steps away from Spa Carnival, the salon, and the gym and just a short walk to the pool. While the Camp Ocean is one deck above, this facility is above the gym and part of the spa area. -So noise shouldn't be much of an issue for most of these cabins.

  • There are 18 Balcony Staterooms on Spa Deck of the Carnival Conquest.
  • Of these 1108- 1112 port side are well situated.
  • Balcony Staterooms 1118- 1122 port side and 1109- 1115 starboard are closest to the elevators. Noise might be a concern when the lifts are busy.
