Deck-by-Deck Breakdown of the Best and Worst Cabins on the Pride of America

Deck 4

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Some cabins on this deck with potential problems.

While it's going to be possible to find a fairly quiet cabin on the Pride of America's Deck 4, keep in mind that there are public venues on Deck 5 above, and the ship's engine rooms beneath.

  • Forward on Deck 4 of the Pride of America, Ocean View Staterooms 4500- 4506 port side and 4000- 4006 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 4503, 4003, and 4005 are underneath the most aft portion of the stage. Noise could be a concern during rehearsals and performances.
  • On Deck 4 of the Pride of America, the roomiest exterior staterooms are 4588, 4590, 4088, and 4090.
  • Port side, 4516 and 4518, and starboard cabins 4014 to 4018 are beneath public restrooms. Noise (such as the sound of water in pipes) could be an issue in these staterooms.
  • Least preferred inside cabins on Deck 4 of the Pride of America are 4019, 4021, 4089, and 4091. These are all located by stairwells where there could be noise issues.
  • The best situated cabins on Deck 4 of the Pride of America are Ocean View Staterooms 4522- 4554 port side, Inside Staterooms 4527- 4541 and 4023- 4037, and starboard Ocean View Staterooms 4020- 4042. While there are public venues above these cabins, these venues are not noise producers (especially late at night).
  • Port side, Ocean View Staterooms 4592- 4608 are beneath the ship's galley. Noise from early in the morning until late at night could be an issue in any of these cabins.

Deck 7

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Some cabins on this deck with potential problems.

Along this entire deck, be aware that a main drag of the Pride of America is right beneath the cabins. Some of the public venues on Deck 7 are not going to present appreciable noise issues, but the nightclub, diner, and aft main dining room areas could cause some noise concerns for the staterooms just above.

  • Forward, exterior cabins 7514- 7534 port side and 7014- 7034 are over the nightclub, so noise could be of concern very late at night. Light sleepers may want to locate a stateroom elsewhere, bring along earplugs, or invest in a wave machine (a sound device available at a specialty retailer like Brookstone -- produces pleasant sounds that can wipe out the unpleasant sounds).
  • Port side on Deck 7 of the Pride of America, exterior staterooms 7600- 7618 are over a diner which is open most of the time. While this is not likely to present a major noise concern, it could be possible to hear some commotion very late at night.
  • On the Pride of America's Deck 7, exterior cabins 7660- 7684 port side and 7160- 7184 are over the aft main dining room. Noise could be a problem in any of these cabins while this venue is open, and when staff are cleaning.
  • While we are not suggesting this entire deck be avoided, the staterooms just mentioned are among the worst cabins on the Pride of America. There are better accommodations to reserve on Deck 7, as well as other decks on this ship!
  • Best locations for a stateroom on Deck 7 of the Pride of America include outside cabins 7540- 7550, 7552- 7584, 7622- 7642, and 7644- 7657 port side, and 7040- 7050, 7052- 7142, and 7144- 7158 starboard. These include ocean view staterooms with obstructed views (7552- 7584, 7622- 7642, and 7052- 7142). All of these are above public areas which are not particularly noisy, and not open late into the evening. There are a few inside cabins most forward on Deck 7 which are also going to be more quiet locations (7501- 7505 and 7001- 7007).
  • Exterior staterooms 7542 and 7546 are larger than standard.
  • Deck 7 of the Pride of America also has 2 Bedroom Family Suites. Of these, 7592, 7594, 7092, and 7094 have obstructed views and are located mid ship. If your view is not a concern, but you would like more space than standard, these are great suites! With over 350 sq. ft. each, these are about 20 sq. ft. larger than those located aft on this deck! The family cabins are in short supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so it is best to book early if this is your preference.
  • Aft on Deck 7, the Pride of America has 2 Bedroom Family Suites (7678 and 7178), each with over 330 sq. ft. including balcony space. These command the most beautiful (and least breezy) ocean view.
  • Between the Family Suites, six balcony staterooms (7680, 7682, 7684, 7184, 7182, and 7180) have highly sought aft views of the ocean! Balconies for these staterooms are also larger than standard.

Deck 8

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

In addition to Family Suites, Deck 8 of the Pride of America adds the luxurious Owners Suites! There are also several balcony staterooms and inside cabins from which to choose. Deck 8 has the added advantage of cabin decks above and beneath which filter out noise public areas can generate! Some of the best cabins on the Pride of America are generally on Deck 8.

  • Forward on the Pride of America, Owners' Suites 8500 and 8000 offer the most spacious accommodations on Deck 8. (Each has up to 875 sq. ft. of space including the balcony.) However, unless there's a tailwind, balcony views from this vantage point are going to be breezy!
  • Deck 8 of the Pride of America features balcony staterooms port side (8502- 8698) and starboard (8002- 8198). Of these, balcony staterooms 8502- 8530 port side and 8002- 8030 starboard have larger than usual balconies.
  • If you are looking for an inside cabin, this is an excellent deck. There are several located on Deck 8 of the Pride of America, and none of these are close to elevators and stairwells. Interior cabins 8677 and 8177 are also larger than standard.
  • Balcony staterooms 8554 and 8558 are larger than average on Deck 8 of the Pride of America.
  • Aft on Deck 8 of the Pride of America, there are 2 Bedroom Family Suites (8702 and 8202). Both have majestic (less breezy) views of the ocean from over-sized decks. As mentioned, family cabins do reserve very quickly so it's important to book one as early as possible if this is your preference.
  • Balcony staterooms 8704, 8706, 8708, 8208, 8206, and 8204 are located between the aft Family Suites and have that highly sought view of the ocean!

Deck 9

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

The Pride of America's Deck 9 has several well situated balcony staterooms and suites from which to choose. This deck also has the added advantage of cabin decks above and beneath which filter out noise public areas can generate! Some of the best cabins on the Pride of America are on Deck 9.

  • Forward on the Pride of America, the 2 Bedroom Deluxe Family Suites 9500 and 9000 offer the most spacious accommodations on Deck 9. (Each has up to 650 sq. ft. of space including the balcony.) However, unless there's a tailwind, balcony views from this vantage point are going to be breezy! Family cabins do reserve very quickly so it's important to book one as early as possible if this is your preference.
  • Deck 9 of the Pride of America features balcony staterooms port side (9502- 9696) and starboard (9002- 9196). Of these, balcony staterooms 9502- 9528 port side and 9002- 9028 starboard have larger than usual balconies.
  • Interior cabin 9175 is larger than standard.
  • Balcony staterooms 9552 and 9556 are larger than average on Deck 9 of the Pride of America.
  • Aft on Deck 9 of the Pride of America, there are 2 Bedroom Family Suites (9698 and 9198). Both have majestic (less breezy) views of the ocean from over-sized decks. As mentioned, family cabins do reserve very quickly so it's important to book one as early as possible if this is your preference.
  • Balcony staterooms 9700, 9702, 9704, 9204, 9202, and 9200 are located between the aft Family Suites and have that highly sought view of the ocean!

Deck 10

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

The forward most section of suites and staterooms Pride of America's Deck 10 are also cushioned between two cabin decks, which helps to make these more quiet accommodations. While some of the cabins and suites mid ship and aft might have a few noise concerns from the pool and casual aft dining area, this is another great location for a balcony stateroom. Some of the best cabins on the Pride of America are on Deck 10!

  • Forward on the Pride of America, Owners' Suites 10502, 10000, and 10002 offer the most spacious accommodations on Deck 10. (Each has at least 512 sq. ft. of space with a 164 sq. ft. balcony.) Each will typically have a dining room, a living room, master bedroom with a king sized bed, two TV's, a bath with a whirlpool tub, a balcony with a hot tub, a double sofa bed, and a guest bathroom with a shower. Please note that 10000 does not have the guest bathroom.
  • 10508- 10524 port side and 10008- 10024 starboard are Penthouses with Balconies. Each will have at least 243 sq. ft. with a 92 sq. ft. balcony, a living room, a king sized bed, a double sofa bed, and a double Murphy bed as well as a bathroom with a shower.
  • There are numerous balcony staterooms port side (10526- 10676) and starboard (10026- 10176) on the Pride of America's Deck 10! Of these, 10534 and 10538 have larger balconies.
  • Inside cabins 10157, 10661, and 10161are larger than standard.
  • Some of the best cabins to consider on Deck 10 of the Pride of America are in the forward section of the ship. Exterior cabins 10502- 10550 port side, 10000- 10050 starboard, and interior staterooms 10501- 10527 and 10001- 10031 are going to be more quiet than other accommodations because these have cabins above and beneath to buffer noises public areas can generate. If you're looking for an inside cabin on this deck, we recommend these in the forward section of the Pride of America over all others.
  • On Deck 10 of the Pride of America, outside cabins 10552- 10582 port side, 10052- 10082 starboard, and interior staterooms 10053, 10059, and 10083 are underneath the pool area. It will be possible to hear some noise in this area, such as the scraping of deck chairs when staff are cleaning at night.
  • Balcony staterooms 10604- 10620 are located under a popular bar, and could be noisy at night. Again, we suggest that light sleepers look elsewhere, bring earplugs, or invest in a wave machine.
  • In the aft section of Deck 10 of the Pride of America, staterooms 10652- 10684 port side and 10152- 10184 are under the casual dining cafe. Noise could be heard as early as 7:00AM when diners come in for breakfast, and after 11:00PM when staff are cleaning. We do not think this will present much of a concern for most guests, however.
  • Aft on Deck 10 of the Pride of America, 2 Bedroom Family Suites 10678 and 10178 have fantastic ocean views. As a reminder, family cabins are in in short supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so it is best to book early if this is your preference.
  • Between the Family Suites, balcony staterooms 10680, 10682, 10684, 10184, 10182, and 10180 also have that beautiful (less breezy) view of the ocean.
