Deck-by-Deck Breakdown of the Best and Worst Cabins on the Liberty of the Seas
Deck 2
***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Some cabins on this deck with potential problems.
While it's possible to find a fairly quiet cabin on Deck 2 of the Liberty of the Seas, it's going to take some thought. There are cabins above many accommodations on this deck, but we do suggest that light sleepers avoid the aft section.
-
Ocean View Staterooms 2540 and 2240 are closest to the theater area. Noise during rehearsals and performances could be of concern in these staterooms.
-
On Deck 2 of the Liberty of the Seas, Ocean View Staterooms 2544- 2594 port side and 2244- 2294 starboard are across the hall from elevators, the conference room, Studio B, and the ice rink. There will be more traffic in those areas during daytime and early evening hours. However, once the ice rink closes for the night, there should not be a concern over excessive noise.
-
Family Ocean View Staterooms (2568 & 2268) and Family Interior Staterooms (2313 & 2309) are quite spacious. Family accommodations are in in short supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so it is best to book early to get a family cabin. Additionally, you will likely not to be permitted to reserve a family cabin unless you have a certain number of people you are booking into that cabin.
-
Interior Staterooms 2623, 2629, and 2633 are larger than standard and are wheelchair accessible.
-
On the Liberty of the Seas, Ocean View Staterooms 2640, 2644, 2648, 2340, 2344, and 2348 are nearly twice the standard size and are wheelchair accessible.
-
In Liberty of the Seas Ocean View Staterooms 2648- 2678 port side and 2348- 2378 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 2659- 2673 and 2357- 2369, propeller vibration could be an issue.
-
Aft, Ocean View Staterooms 2652- 2678 port side and 2352- 2378 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 2659- 2673 and 2357- 2369 are beneath the main dining room. Noise could be a concern in any of these staterooms, especially the Interior Staterooms, when the dining room is open and when staff are cleaning. Please note that these cabins are also in an area in which propeller vibration could be an issue. Consequently, we do not recommend these accommodations for light sleepers.

Deck 3
***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Many cabins on this deck with potential problems.
On Deck 3 of the Liberty of the Seas, many cabins are right beneath several major public areas. such as the bars, the casino, and the lounge. This does mean there could be noise after hours in those staterooms.
-
Forward on Deck 3 of the Liberty of the Seas, Ocean View Staterooms 3540 and 3240 are next to public bathrooms. These two staterooms are also closest to the theater. Noise during rehearsals and performances, and when these restrooms are busy, could be problematic in these cabins.
-
On Deck 3 of the Liberty of the Seas, Ocean View Staterooms 3604- 3638 port side, Interior Staterooms 3605-3617 and 3323- 3329, and Ocean View Staterooms 3304-3338 starboard are close to the On Air Club, RCTV, Art Gallery, large public bathrooms, and elevators. Noise could be a concern in these staterooms during the day, but we do not think there will be late night noise problems in these staterooms.
-
Aft on Deck 3 of the Liberty of the Seas, 3648 and 3348 are closest to the main dining room. Noise when this venue is open, and when staff are busy cleaning, could be of concern in these staterooms.
-
We are not suggesting this deck be avoided at all costs, but some of the worst cabins aboard the Liberty of the Seas are on Deck 3 because of the after hours noise from the bars, casino, and lounge areas directly above. If you are light sleeper, you may prefer to find a cabin elsewhere on the ship, bring earplugs, or invest in a wave machine (a sound device available at a specialty retailer like Brookstone -- produces pleasant sounds that can wipe out the unpleasant sounds).

Deck 6 -- Upper Deck
***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Some cabins on this deck with potential problems.
Along this entire deck, you should be aware that the main drag of the Liberty of the Seas runs beneath your cabin. However, with the exception of the main lounge more forward on Deck 5, and the top tier of the main dining room aft, most of the cabins will not have much of a noise issue because late night entertainment for the most part is two decks below.
-
Forward on Deck 6 of the Liberty of the Seas, 6514- 6550 port side and 6214-6250 starboard, forward facing Ocean View Staterooms 6508- 6208, and Interior Staterooms 6509- 6535, 6109- 6137, and 6209- 6237 are over the main lounge which does feature live music. Noise, especially in the Interior Staterooms, could be an issue in any of these cabins. If you are light sleeper, you may prefer to find a cabin elsewhere on the ship, bring earplugs, or a wave machine (a sound device available at a specialty retailer like Brookstone -- produces pleasant sounds that can wipe out the unpleasant sounds).
-
Forward facing Family Ocean View Staterooms, 6500 and 6200, each boast 293 sq. ft. The Family Ocean View Stateroom has two round windows!
-
Guests report that Ocean View Staterooms 6206 and 6208 are above a staff recreation area and a cigar lounge. Noise issues and the smell of smoking are possibilities in these cabins.
-
Interior Stateroom 6305 is the Liberty of the Seas' Ben & Jerry's "Sweet." This inside stateroom is appointed in cow pillows, with cow printed sheets! Guests of 6305 are given Ben & Jerry's vouchers, and can access the "Cow" concierge room. Why the perks? This stateroom overlooks the back ends of Ben & Jerry's mascots!
-
Mid ship on the Liberty of the Seas Deck 6, Balcony Staterooms 6620, 6624, 6320, and 6324 are larger than other deluxe ocean view staterooms and are wheelchair accessible.
-
Directly aft is the Presidential Family Suite (6414), which represents the most luxurious accommodations on Deck 6 of the Liberty of the Seas. Nearby deluxe ocean view staterooms (6710, 6712, 6412, 6410), ocean view staterooms (6700, 6702, 6400, 6402), and interior cabins (6707, 6499, 6407) are closest to this suite and likely near great cabin stewards!
-
Staterooms on the Liberty of the Seas Deck 6, including luxurious accommodations aft on Deck 6 (6384- 6712) are just above the main dining room. Noise when the dining room is open and when staff are cleaning could be of concern in these cabins.
-
The aft staterooms and suites (6710- 6410), including the Presidential Suite, have partially obstructed balcony views due steel structures that are part of the ship's construction. (The views looking down toward the ocean are obstructed.)
-
While we are not suggesting this deck be avoided entirely, some of the worst cabins on the Liberty of the Seas are on Deck 6.

Deck 7
***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!
The Liberty of the Seas' Deck 7 has some desirable features. It's one of the more quiet decks because the decks beneath and above only have cabins on them, and this creates a buffer zone from the public areas. Another advantage here is the fact that exterior cabins port and starboard are predominantly balcony accommodations!
-
Interior Promenade Staterooms 7553-7631 port side and 7253-7331 starboard have a view of Promenade through bowed windows. Of these, 7607 and 7307 are family staterooms which have, at 300 square feet, almost twice the space of standard interior staterooms.
-
Forward, Family Ocean View Staterooms 7500 and 7200 are quite roomy. As mentioned, family accommodations are in in short supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so it is best to book early to get a family cabin. Additionally, you will likely not to be permitted to reserve a family cabin unless you have a certain number of people you are booking into that cabin.
-
In our opinion, the best situated Balcony Staterooms and Suites on Deck 7 of the Liberty of the Seas are as follows. Port side through aft, we suggest 7516- 7522, 7554- 7560, 7576- 7580, 7588- 7594, 7606- 7614, 7624- 7628, 7658- 7674, and 7688- 7714. Starboard through aft, we recommend 7216- 7234, 7254- 7260, 7276- 7280, 7288- 7294, 7306- 7312, 7324- 7328, 7362- 7274, and 7386- 7414.
-
Aft on Deck 7 of the Liberty of the Seas, we suggest cabins 7708-7408. In the center of these, 7712, 7714, 7414, and 7412 are Junior Suites which afford more luxurious square footage and larger balconies! Be on the look-out, however. A steel structure that is part of the ship's design causes partially obstructed views from these balconies.

Deck 8
***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!
The Liberty of the Seas' Deck 8 is also more quiet than some other decks, because there are cabins directly beneath and above. Here, you will find Royal Family Suites which are quite spacious, as well as roomy ocean view staterooms.
-
Forward, Family Ocean View Staterooms 8500 and 8200 are oddly shaped and extremely roomy. Family accommodations are in in short supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so it is best to book early to get a family cabin. Additionally, you will likely not to be permitted to reserve a family cabin unless you have a certain number of people you are booking into that cabin on Deck 8 of the Liberty of the Seas.
-
Interior Promenade Staterooms (8553- 8631 port side and 8253- 8331 starboard) have a view of the Promenade through bowed windows.
-
The best situated Balcony Staterooms and suites, in our opinion, are as follows. Port side through aft, we recommend 8516- 8532, 8554- 8560, 8576- 8580, 8588- 8594, 8606- 8614, 8622- 8628, 8658- 8674, and 8686- 8714. Starboard through aft, we suggest 8216- 8222, 8230- 8234, 8254- 8260, 8276- 8280, 8288- 8294, 8306- 8314, 8322- 8328, 8356- 8360, 8368- 8374, and 8386- 8414.
-
Just about all of the exterior cabins port side and starboard have balconies on the Liberty of the Seas Deck 8, but 8410 and 8710 do have obstructed views.
-
Aft on Deck 8 of the Liberty, (Grand Suites) Royal Family Suites 8714 and 8414 are very spacious (588 sq. ft.) and have over-sized balconies affording spectacular ocean views! Family accommodations are in in short supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so it is best to book early to get a family cabin. Additionally, you will likely not to be permitted to reserve a family cabin unless you have a certain number of people you are booking into that cabin.
-
Aft on Deck 8 of the Liberty, deluxe ocean view staterooms 8712 and 8412 are smaller, but right next to Royal Family Suites.
-
For all aft facing accommodations (8710- 8410), a steel structure that is part of the ship's design causes partially obstructed views from these balconies.

Deck 9
***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!
Cabins on the Liberty of the Seas Deck 9 are also of interest because they have no public areas above or below them. Several junior suites are on this deck, all of which feature 317 sq. ft. with balconies that are over twice the size of average ocean view balcony staterooms.
-
Forward on Deck 9 of the Liberty of the Seas, 9504, 9502, 9202, and 9204 are large staterooms with great ocean views. Family Ocean View Staterooms 9500 and 9200 are in the center of these, have the same great ocean view, and are more spacious.(When reserving 9500 and 9200, there may be a minimum guest requirement by the Liberty of the Seas.)
-
Interior Staterooms 9553, 9557, 9561, and 9357 are more spacious than standard and are wheelchair accessible. Past guests of cabin 9557 indicate that this stateroom is spacious, but emphasized the importance of having the sofa bed folded up every morning to preserve that space.
-
In our opinion, the best situated staterooms and suites on Deck 9 of the Liberty of the Seas are as follows. Port side, we suggest 9518- 9532, 9554, 9558, 9576- 9580, 9588- 9594, 9606- 9614, 9622, 9626, 9658- 9674, 9686- 9708. Starboard, we recommend 9218- 9232, 9254- 9260, 9278, 9280, 9288- 9294, 9306- 9314, 9322, 9326, 9358- 9372, and 9386- 9408.
-
Aft, Royal Family Suites 9708 and 9408 are the most spacious accommodations on Deck 9 of the Liberty of the Seas and have huge balconies! Ocean views from aft balconies are wonderful (and generally less breezy). Family accommodations are in in short supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so it is best to book early to get a family cabin. Additionally, you will likely not to be permitted to reserve a family cabin unless you have a certain number of people you are booking into that cabin.
-
Aft, Deluxe Ocean View Staterooms 9706 and 9406 are next to the Royal Family Suites. While these staterooms are smaller, you will still have that beautiful ocean view from your balcony.
-
Aft balcony staterooms 9404 and 9704 do have obstructed views.
-
For all aft facing accommodations (9704- 9404), a steel structure that is part of the ship's design causes partially obstructed views from these balconies.

Deck 10
***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Several cabins on this deck with potential problems.
Deck 10 on the Liberty of the Seas does have several luxury suites, and the staff service for cabins located here is superior. However, all of the accommodations on this deck are below one of the busiest public areas on this ship!
-
While you are in the luxury zone on Deck 10 of the Liberty of the Seas, bear in mind that you are also just beneath Deck 11 which is Lido Deck. Luxury minded travelers need to know that exterior suites including Grand Suites and Junior Suites 1552- 1640 port side and 1252- 1340 starboard are beneath the pool areas on Deck 11. Noise when staff are cleaning early in the morning, and when that deck is busy at night could pose problems in any of these accommodations!
-
Interior cabins most affected by noise from Lido Deck area just above are 1553- 1623 port side and 1253- 1325starboard.
-
Inside cabins 1535, 1231, 1321, 1325, 1657, and 1357 are larger than standard and are wheelchair accessible. Of these, cabins 1657 and 1357 are the most spacious.
-
In the aft section of Deck 10 on the Liberty of the Seas 1648- 1706 port side and 1348- 1406 starboard, and Interior Staterooms 1657- 1697 and 1357- 1397 are beneath restaurants, the Plaza Bar, and the Windjammer Cafe. Noise when these venues are open, and when staff are cleaning, could be issues in any of these cabins.
-
For all aft facing accommodations (1700- 1400), a steel structure that is part of the ship's design causes partially obstructed views from these balconies.

Deck 12
***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!
All of the staterooms and suites on Deck 12 of the Liberty of the Seas are located in the forward section of the ship, so these are close to the Sky Bar and the jogging track, and just above the spa and fitness facilities. Deck 12 also includes two spacious Family Panoramic Ocean View Staterooms!
-
Facing forward on Deck 12 of the Liberty of the Seas are 1854 band 1804. These Family Panoramic Ocean View Staterooms each offer 406 sq. ft. of living space and some amazing vistas! It's always best case to reserve these family cabins early because these do book quickly!
-
Located between the Family Panoramic Ocean View Staterooms are 1852 and 1802. These Panoramic Ocean View Staterooms will also offer incredible views of the ocean. Each provides from 191 to 215 sq. ft. of living space. Panoramic Ocean View Staterooms 1856- 1862 port side and 1806- 1812 starboard flank the Family Panoramic Ocean View Staterooms, and each will also provide awesome forward views!
-
Looking for a larger than standard Ocean View cabin on Deck 12 of the Liberty of the Seas? With each offering 283 sq. ft. of living space, 1864 or 1814 are ideal. These Larger Panoramic Ocean View Staterooms are wedge shaped, allowing for floor to ceiling windows that are each 76 in by 253 inches in size!
-
There are twelve more Panoramic Ocean View Staterooms on Deck 12 of the Liberty of the Seas. These are 1866- 1876 port side and 1816- 1826 starboard.
-
