Deck-by-Deck Breakdown of the Best and Worst Cabins on the Disney Fantasy
Deck 2
***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Some cabins on this deck with potential problems.
Cabins on the Disney Fantasy's Deck 2 do have public areas above, but none of these venues are going to present an appreciable noise concern during the day, and certainly not late at night. However, some cabins on this deck happen to be over the Tender Lobbies. Noise when these lobbies are busy might be a concern in these staterooms.
-
On Deck 2 of the Disney Fantasy, Deluxe Ocean View Staterooms 2000- 2058 port side and 2500- 2558 starboard, each 204 sq. ft., have wonderful ocean views from a classic porthole windows.
-
Forward on Deck 2 of the Disney Fantasy, Ocean View Staterooms 2000- 2006 port side and 2500- 2506 starboard and Interior Staterooms 2007 and 2507 are over Tender Lobbies. Noise when these Tender Lobbies are busy could be an issue in any of these staterooms.
-
Inside cabins (2007-2045 and 2507- 2551) on Deck 2 of the Disney Fantasy are all Standard Inside Staterooms. Each of these is quite cozy with 169 sq. ft. of living space.
-
Interior Staterooms 2035 and 2535 are more spacious than average and are wheelchair accessible. These staterooms are right next to elevators, and while this could present a noise issue it might be quite handy for travelers using walkers or wheelchairs.
-
Interior Staterooms 2033 and 2533 are also larger and wheelchair accessible. These two staterooms are nearby the elevators, but are actually closer to the stairwells on Deck 2 of the Disney Fantasy. Noise may be an issue from traffic on the stairs, but having the elevators nearby could be a plus for travelers using wheelchairs or walkers.
-
Ocean View Staterooms 2030- 2040 port side and 2530- 2540 starboard and Interior Staterooms 2033, 2533, 2035, and 2535 are over Tender Lobbies. Noise when the Tender Lobbies are busy could be of concern in any of these cabins.
-
Among the least preferred staterooms on Deck 2 of the Disney Fantasy are inside cabins 2045 and 2545. Both are next to public bathrooms and could have related noise concerns.
Deck 5
***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Many cabins on this deck with potential problems.
Deck 5 is right above major public areas on the Disney Fantasy that include the Walt Disney Theater as well as bars. Noise could be a problems in several cabins on this deck!
-
Forward on Deck 5 of the Disney Fantasy, inside cabins 5005, 5003, 5001, 5501, and 5503 are right behind a very large center for teens. Noise may not be a concern into the wee hours, but there could be some issues into the evening hours. Light sleepers may prefer to find a cabin elsewhere on the ship, bring earplugs, or invest in a wave machine (a sound device available at a specialty retailer like Brookstone -- produces pleasant sounds that can wipe out the unpleasant sounds).
-
Forward in a relatively quiet area on Deck 5 of the Disney Fantasy, there are eight Deluxe Family Ocean View Staterooms (5016- 5022 port side and 5516- 5522 starboard). Each has 241 sq. ft., and is designed to accommodate three to five people. The family cabins are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so it is best to book early to get a family cabin.
-
Exterior cabins 5024- 5044 port side and 5524- 5544 starboard are over the theater's verandah seating. Noise during rehearsals and performances could be of concern in any of these staterooms.
-
Aft, exterior cabins 5150- 5184 port side and 5668- 5684 starboard are over bars and public areas that could be a source of late night noise issues. As mentioned, light sleepers may want to look at cabins on other decks of the Disney Fantasy, bring along earplugs, or invest in a wave machine.
-
There are eight interior cabins in the forward area of Deck 5 of the Disney Fantasy which are not going to have much in the way noise issues. These are cabins 5009- 5015 and 5509- 5515. Of these, cabins 5015 and 5515 are Deluxe Inside Staterooms which have 204 sq. ft. as opposed to the standard 169 sq. ft.
-
Verandah Stateroom 5552 has almost twice the average interior and verandah space. This cabin is also wheelchair accessible.
-
Staterooms located most aft on Deck 5 of the Disney Fantasy are also in a fairly quiet area, and include the most spacious ocean view cabins (5186 and 5686). Cabins 5186 and 5686 are also wheelchair accessible, and both will have beautiful ocean views.
-
Tucked between the two aft ocean view staterooms are verandah staterooms 5188, 5190, 5192, and 5688. Each of these staterooms have that highly sought aft ocean view that is less breezy.
-
Aft, 5188 and 5688 have small verandahs.
-
Some of the worst cabins are on Deck 5 of the Disney Fantasy. While we are not suggesting that this deck be entirely avoided, you will be able to find more quiet accommodations on other decks of this ship. We do recommend finding an inside stateroom elsewhere. Deck 2 has some nice interior cabins, as do other higher decks on the Disney Fantasy.
Deck 6
Deck 6 is going to be a bit more quiet than Deck 5 on the Disney Fantasy because there are cabins above and below many staterooms that buffer noises from public areas.
-
Forward on Deck 6 of the Disney Fantasy, Ocean View Staterooms 6000- 6008 and 6500- 6506 each have a beautiful, picturesque view of the ocean from porthole windows. Of these, 6006, 6500, and 6504 are more spacious than average and are wheelchair accessible.
-
Deluxe Inside Staterooms 6501, and 6669- 6673 are 35 sq. ft. larger than standard on Deck 6 of the Disney Fantasy.
-
Deluxe Family Ocean View Staterooms 6010- 6016 and 6508- 6514 are quite spacious. As mentioned, family cabins are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so it is best to book early for one of these!
-
Between the mid ship and aft elevators on Deck 6 of the Disney Fantasy, Deluxe Family Ocean View Staterooms with Verandahs (6084- 6144 and 6582- 6644 starboard) are the largest accommodations on this deck. Each has up to 299 sq. ft. including the veranda. Of these, 6088 and 6090 are wheelchair accessible.
