Picking the Best Cabins on the Celebrity Eclipse

A deck-by-deck analysis of the Celebrity Eclipse's best and worst cabins.

Celebrity Eclipse Best & Worst Staterooms: Summary

Best Cabins on the Celebrity Eclipse are on Decks 7, 8, 9, and 10.

Cabins to be wary of on the Celebrity Eclipse are on Decks 3, 6, 11, and 12.

Deck-by-Deck Breakdown of the Best and Worst Cabins on the Celebrity Eclipse

Deck 3 -- Plaza Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Many cabins on this deck with potential problems.

Several cabins on Deck 3 of the Celebrity Eclipse are under Deck 4 venues that include a night club and a casino. For the most part, we do not recommend many of these staterooms for those who desire quiet accommodations late at night.

  • Ocean View Staterooms 3101, 3103, 3102, and 3104 are larger than average and are wheelchair accessible. Guest reviews of 3101, however, do indicate noise issues. It should be noted that 3101 and 3103 are beneath public bathrooms aft and port side of the Eclipse Theater. Noise, such as water in the pipes when these bathrooms are busy, could be problematic.
  • Port side, 3105- 3125 are beneath Quasar. Noise from this night club could be an issue late at night.
  • Starboard, 3108- 3128 are beneath the Celebrity Central. Because this venue offers late night entertainment, the staterooms are not recommended for light sleepers.
  • On the Eclipse Deck 3, starboard exterior cabins 3130-3174 and interior cabins 3144-3172 are most directly under the casino, and after hours noise could be a concern. If you are light sleeper, we recommend a cabin on a higher deck.
  • Starboard exterior staterooms 3131-3159 are probably the only cabins on Plaza Deck of the Eclipse that will not have extraneous noise factors.
  • Some of the worst cabins on the Celebrity Eclipse are on the Plaza Deck. While we are not suggesting the cabins on this deck should be completely avoided, there are staterooms on other decks that will be more quiet.

Deck 6 -- Continental Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Some cabins on this deck with potential problems.

Along this entire deck, the Entertainment Deck of the Celebrity Eclipse is right beneath your cabin. Most of the venues, such as the boutiques, art gallery, the bistro and other restaurants, are NOT open into the wee hours so the noise from this area may not pose a significant problem.

  • On Deck 6 of the Celebrity Eclipse, 6111- 6141 port side and 6112- 6142 starboard are over the Eclipse Theater. Noise from this venue during rehearsals and performances could be an issue.
  • All 2C and 2D Veranda Staterooms on the Continental Deck have partially obstructed views on Deck 6 of the Eclipse.
  • Deluxe Veranda Staterooms 6135, 6137, 6139, and 6141 are a bit larger and are wheelchair accessible.
  • You'll find larger verandas for 1A category cabins 6211, 6212, 6215, 6214, 6237, 6236, 6239, and 6238.
  • Starboard, 6246- 6272 are over the Ensemble Lounge, where live music is often featured. Noise could be a problem in these staterooms as a result.
  • The largest accommodations on the Celebrity Eclipse's Continental Deck are Sky Suites 6305 and 6304. These suites have 300 sq. ft. of interior space and 79 sq. ft. verandas.
  • We also recommend Sunset Veranda Staterooms 6307-6306, which are situated between the Sky Suites aft on the Eclipse's Deck 6. The verandas for these staterooms are larger than standard and offer awesome aft views!

Deck 7 -- Sunrise Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

The Sunrise Deck of the Celebrity Eclipse (Deck 7) has Family Ocean View Staterooms, Sky Suites and Sunset Veranda Staterooms. Also, cabins above and beneath this deck provide a buffer from the noises public areas can generate, thus making this one of the more quiet decks.

  • Forward on Deck 7 of the Eclipse, Family Staterooms 7107 and 7108 boast up to 575 sq. ft. of interior space and have 53 sq. ft. verandas. However, given their forward location on Deck 7 of the Eclipse, be prepared for a rather windy view (unless there's a tailwind). Family cabins are in in short-supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so, it is best to book early to get a Family cabin.
  • Ocean View Staterooms 7139, 7141, 7143, and 7145 are larger than usual and are wheelchair accessible.
  • From the verandas of the staterooms on Deck 7 that are in the indented sections, the views when looking down will be of the life boats. This affects 7163- 7209 and 7249- 7301 port side, and 7210- 7256 and 7294- 7350 starboard.
  • Category 1A cabins (7159, 7161, 7211, 7215, 7217, 7219, 7241, 7243, 7245, and 7247 Port side, and 7206, 7208, 7258, 7260, 7262, 7264, 7286, 7288, 7290, and 7292 Starboard) have larger than standard verandas.
  • Aft on Deck 7 of the Eclipse, Sky Suites 7307 and 7356 have the best views and certainly the largest verandas on Deck 7.
  • Between the Sky Suites aft on the Celebrity Eclipse's Deck 7, the verandas of Sunset Veranda Staterooms 7309-7358 are larger than standard, and also boast great (and less breezy) aft views of the ocean.

Deck 8 -- Vista Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

On the Celebrity Eclipse, Vista Deck features accommodations most similar in location and quality to Deck 7. Again, this will be a more quiet deck because cabins above and beneath create a buffer from public areas.

  • Forward on Deck 8 of the Celebrity Eclipse, Family Veranda Staterooms 8107 and 8108 are very spacious. There will most likely be a bit of a breeze from their verandas because of their location. As mentioned, family cabins are in in short-supply and are very popular -- book them early!
  • 8162 received very positive reviews for its location and its larger than standard veranda.
  • From the verandas of the staterooms on Deck 8 that are in the indented sections, the views when looking down will be of the life boats. This affects 8201- 8249 and 8287- 8339 port side, and 8166- 8222 and 8260- 8326 starboard.
  • Cabins 8259-8277 and 8232-8250 are Category 1 B Deluxe Ocean View Staterooms with Verandas. Flat screen, interactive TV systems, and mini bars number among the amenities of class 1 B staterooms on the Celebrity Eclipse!
  • Staterooms that are category 1A (8197,  81998251, 8253, 8255, 8257, 8279, 8281, 8283, and 8285 port side and 816081628224, 8226, 8228, 8230, 8252, 8254, 8256, and 8258starboard) have larger verandas.
  • Aft, exterior cabins 8343 and 8334 are slightly larger than standard and have larger verandas.
  • Aft on the Celebrity Eclipse's Deck 8, Sky Suites 8345 and 8336 are spacious, feature over-sized verandas, and afford great views of the ocean.
  • Sunset Verandas 8347-8338 are situated between the Sky Suites. These staterooms have larger than standard verandas from which there are great aft views of the ocean.

Deck 9 -- Panorama Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

Panorama Deck of the Celebrity Eclipse features Concierge Class accommodations which include priority check in, an expanded room service menu, evening hors d'oeuvres every day, as well as other amenities. Again, Deck 9 staterooms have cabins above and beneath which buffer noise from public areas.

  • Interior Staterooms 9196, 9202, and 9206 are wheelchair accessible on the Eclipse Deck 9.
  • Category 1A cabins (9155, 9157, 9207, 9209, 9211, 9215, 9237, and 9239 port side and 9192, 9194, 9264, 9266, 9268, 9270, 9292, and 9294 starboard) have larger than standard verandas.
  • From the verandas of the staterooms on Deck 9 that are in the indented sections, the views when looking down will be of the life boats. This affects 9159- 9205 and 9245- 9293 port side, and 9198- 9262 and 9300- 9364 starboard.
  • Aft, exterior cabins 9295 and 9366 do have slightly larger verandas than standard.
  • Aft, Sky Suites 9299 and 9374 are the most spacious on the Eclipse Deck 9, have the largest verandas, and have a great view of the ocean.
  • Concierge Class Veranda Staterooms 9301-9376 are between the Sky Suites on the Eclipse's Deck 9, and have a great aft view of the ocean! The verandas for these staterooms are larger than standard.

Deck 10 -- Sky Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

Sky Deck on the Celebrity Eclipse features Royal Suites, Celebrity Suites, Sky Suites, and Concierge class accommodations. Cabins above and beneath you on Sky Deck makes this among the more quiet locations for a stateroom or suite. Some of the best cabins on the Celebrity Eclipse are on Deck 10!

  • Inside Stateroom 1084 is next to a staff area, so noise could be an issue in this cabin.
  • From the verandas of the staterooms on Deck 10 that are in the indented sections, the views when looking down will be of the life boats. This affects 1079- 1227 and 1251- 1299 port side, and 1048- 1104 and 1128- 1192 starboard.
  • On the Eclipse's Deck 10, four Royal Suites, 1239, 1241, 1116, and 1118 are the most spacious accommodations on Deck 10 of the Eclipse. Each has 590 sq. ft. of interior space and a 158 sq. ft. veranda.
  • There are six Celebrity Suites on the Eclipse's Sky Deck (1110, 1112, 1114, 1233, 1235, and 1237). Each Celebrity space has 395 sq. ft. interior space and a 104 sq. ft. veranda.
  • Forward on the Celebrity Eclipse Deck 10, Concierge Veranda Staterooms 1022, 1024, 1026, and 1028 are a bit larger, have more spacious verandas, and are wheelchair accessible.
  • Aft on Deck 10 of the Eclipse, Sky Suites 1403 and 1198 are spacious (300 sq. ft.), have larger than normal verandas.
  • Eight Concierge Class Veranda Staterooms (1405-1200) located between the Sky Suites have wonderful (and less breezy) ocean views from larger than standard verandas.

Deck 11 -- Penthouse Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Some cabins on this deck with potential problems.

The Penthouse Deck does feature Penthouse Suites among luxurious accommodations. However, it should be noted that several cabins on this deck are beneath the fitness center and the pools.

  • AquaClass Veranda Staterooms 1547-1605 and 1552-1610 are below the pool area and there could be some extraneous noise after hours, such as the scraping of deck chairs when staff are cleaning. If you are looking for AquaClass accommodations and amenities, you may want to look elsewhere.
  • Forward, AquaClass Veranda Staterooms 1501-1511 and 1502-1520 are under the fitness center. Noise while the fitness center is open could be an issue. Guests in 1518 have indicated that there was substantial noise issues from the treadmills.
  • Forward, AquaClass Veranda Staterooms 1522, 1524, 1526, and 1538 are a slightly more spacious with larger verandas, and are wheelchair accessible.
  • The Penthouse Suites (1611 and 1616) have the most room (1291 sq. ft.) and largest verandas (385 sq. ft.) on the Celebrity Eclipse. These suites do have cabins above and beneath that buffer noise from public areas, but both of these suites have public bathrooms overhead as well.
  • The Celebrity Eclipse's Penthouse Deck also has four Royal Suites (1607, 1609, 1612, and 1614) just forward of the Penthouse Suites, each of which as 590 sq. ft. of interior space and a 158 sq. ft. veranda.
  • Just aft of the Penthouse Suites, there are six Celebrity Suites (1615, 1617, 1619, 1618, 1620, and 1622).
  • AquaClass Veranda Staterooms and Concierge Veranda Staterooms (1621-1661 and 1624-1664) are situated in a more quiet area, away from possible pool noise from above.
  • Aft on Deck 11 of the Eclipse, four Sky Suites (1663, 1666, 1665, and 1667) have larger verandas than standard and a wonderful ocean view!
  • Five Concierge Veranda Staterooms (1676-1668) are tucked between the Sky Suites, and will also have beautiful aft ocean views.

Deck 12 -- Resort Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Some cabins on this deck with potential problems.

Resort Deck staterooms and suites are also luxurious, although not as spacious as the Penthouse, Royal, and Celebrity Suites. However, cabins here might have some noise issues as indicated below.

  • Concierge Veranda Staterooms 2101 and 2102 are next to public bathrooms on Deck 12 of the Eclipse and this could be an additional noise issue.
  • All accommodations aft of and including 2107 and 2108 are under the Oceanview Cafe, which is a busy restaurant. Noise issues could be problematic early in the morning until late at night.
  • Sky Suites 2130, 2132, 2134, and 2136 are wheelchair accessible on Deck 12.
  • Two Concierge Veranda Staterooms, 2157 and 2152, are situated between the aft Sky Suites on Deck 12. These staterooms have a great view, but they may experience noise from the bar directly above them.
  • Aft, Category S1 Sky Suites 2151 and 2146 have great aft ocean views. However, these suites are underneath the bar so there could be late evening noise concerns.
