Alternative Restaurants on the Norwegian Sky

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ALTERNATIVE DINING ON THE NORWEGIAN SKY:
For all alternative restaurants on the Norwegian Sky, you will need to make reservations once you are aboard ship. Generally, it is a good idea to reserve dining sooner than later. This can be accomplished by visiting the reservations desk, open from 9:00am to 5:00pm, a day in advance of your plans. You may also call each restaurant directly after 5:30pm.

Cagney's Steakhouse:

Cagney's Steakhouse on the Norwegian Sky offers steakhouse specialties in an elegant atmosphere. Look forward to Lobster Bisque, Clam Chowder, Caesar Salad, and Iceberg Lettuce Wedges among soups and salads. Main courses include sea bass, lamb chops, veal chops, 16 ounce T-bone steaks, prime rib, 14-ounce rib eye steaks, and filet mignon. There's Rotisserie chicken, and for seafood fans the menu features Atlantic Salmon Oscar, Alaskan King Crab Legs, and grilled Ahi Tuna Steak. Whole Lobster, Surf & Turf, and a massive 24 ounce Porterhouse Steak are house specials at the Norwegian Sky's Cagney's Steakhouse. Cagney's Steakhouse receives strong, positive reviews! Cagney's Steakhouse is located on Norwegian Sky's Deck 12. Entree are at a la carte prices.

La Cucina:

On Deck 11, La Cucina Italian restaurant on the Norwegian Sky is appointed in muted blues and maroon, and offers a menu designed to be a ristorante experience in the true Italian tradition. This is the place meant for unhurried dinner and conversation! The menu offer five Antipasti and Zuppa selections, ranging from Minestrone alla Genovese from 2.99 USD to Calamari with Marinara Sauce at 5.99 USD. Eight Paste & Risotto dishes range from Angel Hair Pasta with Pomodoro Sauce and Fresh Mozzarella for 6.99 USD to Linguine Cioppino (Little Neck Clams, Shrimp, Black Mussels, Calamari, and Monkfish in Light Pinot Grigio and Cherry Tomato Sauce) for 9.99 USD. All Paste & Risotto dishes can become entree sizes for an additional 5 USD. Two simple salads, including Caesar, are then presented for 3.99 USD each. Nine Secondi entrees range from Free Range Chicken Breast with Prosciutto at 12.99 USD to Cold Water Lobster and Fettuccine (24.99 USD). Nine Contorni (Side Dishes) are offered, and include grilled vegetables, grilled polenta with mushroom sauce, and Sauteed Spinach, Mushrooms, and Garlic, and Parmesan Dusted Fries. Dolci (Desserts) include Vanilla Ice Cream with Hot Espresso (2.99 USD) and Tiramisu (3.99 USD). Assorted coffees and cordiales are also on the menu. La Cucina is open from 5:30 to 10:00 PM. Bellissima!

Le Bistro:

Le Bistro French restaurant on the Norwegian Sky does an excellent job serving Mediterranean and French cuisine. There are cold appetizers such as lettuce with vinaigrette, lobster & scallop martini, and chilled halibut. Goat cheese tarts, steamed mussels in white wine, and Escargots Bourguignonne are featured warm appetizers. Soups include French Onion and Cream of Mushroom, and grilled Turbot fillet, shrimp encrusted salmon, braised short ribs, and duck l'orange are among main entrees. Of course, there's a selection of cheeses, apple tarts, creme brulee, and chocolate mousse for dessert on the Norwegian Sky's Le Bistro restaurant. This restaurant is well worth a visit, and receives excellent guest reviews. All entrees are at a la carte prices. Le Bistro is on Norwegian Sky's Deck 5.

Tips for the Alternative Restaurants on Norwegian Sky:

• Casual attire is fine and very much in keeping with Norwegian Cruise Lines Freestyle cruising. We do suggest no shorts or jeans after 6:00pm.

• Per person dining charges do not include specialty drinks, beer, and wine.
• How much should I tip at the Alternative Dining Restaurants on the Norwegian Sky? First, bear in mind that all alcoholic beverages that you pay for will have a gratuity added. The cover charge does include gratuity, however, you may wish to consider giving an extra gratuity to the waiter or waitress who has served you. If the service is exceptional, giving the waiter 5 USD per person would be most appreciated.
