Share by Curtis Stone:
World renowned Chef Curtis Stone has created Share, which is focused upon the joy that brings people together via delicious cuisine! Located port side and aft on Sun Deck. and open from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, Share on the Emerald Princess offers two menus that feature a memorable, delectable six course dining extravaganza. One of these two menus exclusively features vegetarian cuisine- Pantaleo Cheese with accompaniments exemplifies course one, followed by course two- your choice of two salads (romaine leaf salad with caraway buttermilk dressing or Tomatoes and Burrata). Course three consists of a vegetarian pasta dish. A soup, such as White Corn Veloute, is the fourth course. A main dish, Mushroom Ragu for example, is the fifth course. The last course is your choice of one of three desserts, such as a Citron Tart, Toffee Cheesecake, or Dark Chocolate Cremeux. Starters on the omnivorous menu include a choice of Pataleo Cheese or aged San Daniele Prosciutto with Castelvetrano Olives. Course two salads include romaine leaf salad with caraway buttermilk dressing, Tomatoes and Burrata, or poached prawns. Pork ravioli or Ricotta Cavatelli exemplify third course pasta selections. For the fourth course, most entrees are from the sea, to include poached lobster tail, Steelhead Trout, or scallops. Lamb Loin, Strip Loin Steak, and Duck Leg Confit are examples of fifth course entrees, and sixth course dessert choices are identical to the vegetarian menu. The per person charge for Share is 39 USD.
Salty Dog Gastropub:
In partnership with Chef Ernesto Uchimura, the Salty Dog Gastropub on the Emerald Princess takes and tweaks pub favorites into gourmet cuisine. The grilled cheese sandwich is composed of Emmenthal and Gruyere and served with creamed white tomato soup. The menu also includes Lobster Mac & Cheese, Wild Mushroom Saute, Beef Short Rib Poutine, Maryland-style Jumbo Lump Crabcake, and the (very) decadent "Ernesto." The Salty Dog Gastropub is in the Wheelhouse Bar on Promenade Deck from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and the per person charge is 19 per person. On board reservations are recommended.
Crab Shack:
On certain nights in the Horizon Court Buffet on the Emerald Princess, the Crab Shack offers a simple but delectable menu. Shrimp and Hushpuppies and Manhattan Clam Chowder are typically on the menu for the appetizer and soup options. Four main entrees options include the "Mud Bug" boil, a clam, mussel, and shrimp pot, Steamed Shrimp and Alaskan King Crab Legs, and a "Royal Boil" (King Crab, Snow Crab, shrimp, Mussels, Clams, Kielbasa Sausage and New Potatoes and Corn on the Cob). What your chef prepares will be an epicurean delight, and will be totally determined by your host. It should be noted, however, that special dietary restrictions are accommodated when advance notice is given. The Chef's Table occurs up to two times per cruise, and it's announced in the Princess Patter. This is a very popular event with limited seating. How much should I tip at the Crown Grill and Share on the Emerald Princess? First, bear in mind that all alcoholic beverages that you pay for will have a gratuity added. The cover charge does include gratuity, however, you may wish to consider giving an extra gratuity to the waiter or waitress who has served you. An appropriate amount is to estimate the value of the meal you ordered if you ordered it on land and tip 15-20% based on that cost. If you feel that the value of the meal was $50 were you to order it in a land-based restaurant, you should tip $7.50-$10. It is certainly your discretion not to tip, but, the waiters serving you are some of the best on the ship and should be rewarded if they provided you with an exceptional dining experience.
