Alternative Dining on the Celebrity Eclipse

Murano

Celebrity_dining_muranoThe ambience of the Murano on the Celebrity Eclipse is classic elegance, from the white tablecloths draping tables to the muted shades of champagne and rose. The effect is soothing and comfortable. Foie Gras, Escargots, Lobster Tail, Surf and Turf, and Dover Sole Veronique are exemplary of entrees on this multi course menu at the Murano on the Celebrity Eclipse. The Murano features French, Italian, and innovative American cuisine.  Caviar is also available at market price. Smart casual dress is suggested, and reservations are required. There's a 50 USD charge per person (45 USD per person for reservations booked before your cruise). A six course wine pairing option is also available for 89 USD per person. The Murano is located on Deck 5.

On sea days, an afternoon tea that includes champagne and delectable scones is a Murano option for 25 USD per person. Enjoy!

Tuscan Grille

Aft on Entertainment Deck, the Tuscan Grille menu includes grilled meats and seafood. Antipasti and Caesar Salads are prepared for you table side. The Tuscan Grille on the Celebrity Eclipse serves calamari and grilled veal chops as well as pasta selections. Reservations are required, and there is a 45 USD charge per diner (the precruise price per person is 35USD). Smart casual attire, such as polo shirts and slacks for gentlemen, is expected at the Tuscan Grille.

Qsine

Created by Jaques Van Staden, this restaurant offers whimsical and extraordinary culinary creations concocted from commonly good food. Sushi presented as lollipops, and delectable meatballs of veal, beef, and turkey are among other menu favorites. Be prepared to savor the delicate seasonings, make your guacamole to taste with a mortar and pestle, and smile to your heart's content! There is a 55 USD charge per diner, and no reservations are required. At Qsine, casual clothing is fine, but swim wear and bare feet are not permitted.

Sushi on Five:

Port side and mid ship on Deck 5 of the Celebrity Eclipse, Sushi on Five is a celebration of Japanese cuisine. The menu, created by Chef Yoshikazu "Yoshi" Okada, offers a wonderful selection of sushi, nigeri, sashimi, hot pots, and noodles. Prices are a la carte, and range from 4 to 12 USD. This venue is typically open for lunch and dinner.

Tips for all Specialty Restaurants on the Celebrity Eclipse:

  • Tuscan Grille Restaurant Menu
  • Murano Restaurant Menu
  • Specialty restaurants have limited seating and you should make your reservations ahead of time when these are required, preferably just after booking on line and well before you board ship.
  • Call 800-722-5941 or contact Celebrity online at SpecialtyRestaurant@celebrity.com to make reservations up to 4 days before your sail date.
  • Specialty restaurants provide more intimate seating than the main dining room, and only reserve for parties of up to six guests.
  • Children 12 years or older are welcome.
  • The per diner fee does include gratuity.
  • How much should I tip at the alternative dining restaurants (Tuscan Grille, Qsine, Murano) on the Celebrity Eclipse? First, bear in mind that all alcoholic beverages that you pay for will have a gratuity added. The cover charge does include gratuity, however, you may wish to consider giving an extra gratuity to the waiter or waitress who has served you. An appropriate amount is to estimate the value of the meal you ordered if you ordered it on land and tip 15-20% based on that cost. If you feel that the value of the meal was 50 USD were you to order it in a land-based restaurant, you should tip 7.50- 10 USD. It is certainly your discretion not to tip, but the waiters serving you are some of the best on the ship and should be rewarded if they provided you with an exceptional dining experience.
