Deck-by-Deck Breakdown of the Best and Worst Cabins onboard the Celebrity Solstice

Deck 3 -- Plaza Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Many cabins on this deck with potential problems.

Cabins on Deck 3 of the Celebrity Solstice are reasonably well situated to avoid noise from the theater and the aft main dining room, as well as concerns from propeller vibration. There will be possible noise concerns for some cabins none the less, and this could particularly affect inside cabins (3144-3172). However, with a little strategy it is possible to find a quieter ocean view stateroom if Plaza Deck is your preference.

  • Ocean View Staterooms 3101, 3103, 3102, and 3104 are larger than average and are wheelchair accessible.
  • On the Solstice Deck 3, port side exterior cabins 3108-3174 and interior cabins 3144-3172 are most directly under the casino, and after hours noise could be a concern. If you are light sleeper, you may prefer to find a cabin elsewhere on the ship, bring earplugs or consider investing in a wave machine (a sound device available at a specialty retailer like Brookstone -- produces pleasant sounds that can wipe out the unpleasant sounds).
  • Starboard Ocean View Staterooms underneath the night club are 3103-3129. Again, after hours noise issues can not be ruled out, so we suggest to find a cabin elsewhere, bring along earplugs, or invest in a wave machine.
  • Starboard exterior staterooms 3131-3159 are probably the only cabins on Plaza Deck of the Solstice which will not have extraneous noise factors.
  • Some of the worst cabins onboard the Celebrity Solstice are on the Plaza Deck. While we are not suggesting the cabins on this deck should be completely avoided, there are staterooms on other decks which will be quieter.

Deck 6 -- Continental Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Some cabins on this deck with potential problems.

Along this entire deck, you should be aware that the Entertainment Deck of the Celebrity Solstice is right beneath your cabin. That said, it should also be noted that most of the venues, such as the boutiques, art gallery, the bistro and other restaurants, are not open into the wee hours so it is possible to find a little peace and quiet.

  • Cabins 6241-6259 port side and 6236-6270 starboard are most likely to have noise issues from lounges below which feature music. You can find other quieter staterooms on Deck 6 of the Solstice.
  • All 2C and 2D Veranda Staterooms on the Continental Deck have partially obstructed views.
Deluxe Veranda Staterooms 6135, 6137, 6139, and 6141 are a bit larger and are wheelchair accessible.
  • Aft, the largest accommodations on the Celebrity Solstice Continental Deck are Sky Suites 6305 and 6304. These suites have 300 sq. ft. of interior space and 79 sq. ft. balconies. Both suites also are wonderfully situated for magnificent views of the ocean!
  • We also recommend Sunset Veranda Staterooms 6307-6306 which are situated between the Sky Suites aft on the Solstice's Deck 6. These will also have a great (and less breezy) ocean view.

Deck 7 -- Sunrise Deck

Generally in keeping with cruise ship tradition, the higher deck numbers boast higher quality cabins. This begins to happen on Sunrise Deck of the Celebrity Solstice. Deck 7 introduces Family Ocean View Staterooms, and has the Sky Suites and Sunset Veranda Staterooms as well. Also, cabins above and beneath this deck provide a buffer from the noises public areas can generate, thus making this one of the quieter locations for staterooms.

  • Forward, Family Staterooms 7107 and 7108 boast up to 575 sq. ft. of interior space and have 53 sq. ft. balconies. However, given their forward location on Deck 7 of the Solstice, be prepared for a rather windy view (unless there's a tailwind). Family cabins are in in short-supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so, it is best to book early to get a Family cabin.
  • Ocean View Staterooms 7139, 7141, 7143, and 7145 are larger than usual and are wheelchair accessible.
  • Aft, Sky Suites 7307 and 7356 have the best views and certainly the largest balconies on Deck 7 of the Solstice.
  • Between the Sky Suites aft on Deck 7, Sunset Veranda Staterooms 7309-7358 also boast great (and less breezy) aft views of the ocean.

Deck 8 -- Vista Deck

On the Celebrity Solstice, Vista Deck features accommodations most similar in location and quality to Deck 7. Again, this will be a quieter deck because cabins above and beneath create a buffer from public areas. Please note that 2C category Deluxe Ocean View Staterooms have partially obstructed views, and 2D Deluxe Ocean View Staterooms have fully obstructed views on the Vista Deck.

  • Forward, Family Veranda Staterooms 8107 and 8108 are very spacious. There will most likely be a bit of a breeze from their balconies because of their location. As mentioned, family cabins are in in short-supply and are very popular given their attractive sleeping arrangements. They sell out very quickly, so, it is best to book early to get a Family cabin.
  • Aft on Deck 8 of the Solstice, Exterior cabins 8343 and 8334 are slightly larger than standard and have larger balconies.
  • Aft, Sky Suites 8345 and 8336 are spacious, feature over-sized balconies, and afford great views of the ocean.
  • Sunset Verandas 8347-8338 are situated between the Sky Suites and have a great aft view of the ocean on Deck 8 of the Solstice.

Deck 9 -- Panorama Deck

Panorama Deck of the Celebrity Solstice features Concierge Class accommodations which include priority check in, an expanded room service menu, evening hors d'oeuvres everyday, as well as other amenities. Again, Deck 9 staterooms have cabins above and beneath which buffer noise from public areas.

  • Inside cabins 9196, 9202, and 9206 are wheelchair accessible on the Solstice Deck 9.
  • Aft, exterior cabins 9295 and 9366 do have slightly larger balconies than standard.
  • Aft, Sky Suites 9299 and 9374 are the most spacious on the Solstice Deck 9, have the largest balconies, and have a great view of the ocean.
  • Guests of 9241 indicate that this cabin was close to the lifts, but there were no noise issues. Also, this cabin had a very spacious balcony.
  • Concierge Class Veranda Staterooms 9301-9376 are between the Sky Suites, and have a great aft view of the ocean!

Deck 10 -- Sky Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

While Sky Deck is one deck beneath the ultimate luxury area on the Celebrity Solstice, this deck features Royal Suites, Celebrity Suites, Sky Suites, and Concierge class accommodations. The fact that there are cabins above and beneath you on Sky Deck makes this among the quieter locations for a stateroom or suite on the Solstice.

  • The four Royal Suites, 1239, 1241, 1116, and 1118 are the most spacious accommodations on Deck 10 of the Solstice. Each has 590 sq. ft. of interior space and a 158 sq. ft. balcony.
  • Rgarding cabin 1001, the view from the veranda is obstructed. Because the veranda is adjacent to the bridge, guests report that privacy on the balcony is compromised.
  • There are six Celebrity Suites on Sky Deck (1110, 1112, 1114, 1233, 1235, and 1237). Each Celebrity space has 395 sq. ft. interior space and an 104 sq. ft. balcony.
  • Aft on the Solstice's Deck 10, Sky Suites 1403 and 1198 are spacious (300 sq. ft.), have large balconies, and afford great views of the ocean.
  • Eight Concierge Class Veranda Staterooms (1405-1200) located between the Sky Suites have wonderful (and less breezy) ocean views.

Deck 11 -- Penthouse Deck

***CruiseAdvice.org Favorite Deck ***
Highly rated by our cruise experts!

The Penthouse Deck is arguably the high-rent district of the ship. The best cabins onboard the Celebrity Solstice are generally onboard the Penthouse Deck. This is where all the suites and penthouse category cabins are located. Given that this is where the high-dollar cabins are, this is also where the Celebrity Solstice's best cabin stewards are usually assigned.

  • While the Penthouse Deck on the Solstice does feature the best accommodations to be had, luxury minded travelers need to be aware of the pool areas directly above some of cabins on this deck. AquaClass Veranda Staterooms 1547-1605 and 1552-1610 are in this general vicinity, and there could be some extraneous noise after hours, such as the scraping of deck chairs when staff are cleaning. If you are looking for AquClass accommodations and amenities (which include priority seating at the Blu Restaurant), you may want to look elsewhere on this deck.
  • Forward on Deck 11 of the Solstice, AquaClass Veranda Staterooms 1501-1545 and 1502-1550 are closest to the Relaxation Lounge and are directly under the Spa facilities. These staterooms are not under the pool areas and could be a great place to reserve an AquaClass stateroom. Please note, however, that past guest reviews indicate starboard cabins from 1501 to 1540 are directly under the gym, and noise issues have been noted while the gym is open. From 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, noise could bery well be a concern.
  • Forward, AquaClass Verada Staterooms 1522, 1524, 1526, and 1538 are slightly more spacious than average, have larger balconies, and are wheelchair accessible.
  • The 5 interior cabins (1528-1536) are located more forward on the Solstice Deck 11, and are likely to be among the nicer places for an inside cabin on this ship.
  • The Penthouse Suites (1611 and 1616) have the most room (1291 s. ft.) and largest balconies (385 sq. ft.) on the Celebrity Solstice.
  • The Penthouse Deck of the Solstice also has four Royal Suites (1607, 1609, 1612, and 1614) just forward of the Penthouse Suites, each of which as 590 sq. ft. of interior space and a 158 sq. ft. balcony.
  • Just aft of the Penthouse Suites on the Solstice's Deck 11, there are six Celebrity Suites (1615, 1617, 1619, 1618, 1620, and 1622).
  • AquaClass Veranda Staterooms and Concierge Veranda Staterooms (1621-1661 and 1624-1664) are situated in a quieter area, away from possible pool noise from above.
  • Aft on Deck 11 of the Solstice, four Sky Suites (1663, 1666, 1665, and 1667) have larger balconies than standard and a wonderful ocean view!
  • Five Concierge Veranda Staterooms (1676-1668) are tucked between the Sky Suites on the Solstice's Deck 11, and will also have beautiful aft ocean views.

Deck 12 -- Resort Deck

Resort Deck staterooms and suites are also luxurious, although not as spacious as the Penthouse, Royal, and Celebrity Suites. However, cabins here might have some noise issues from the cafe and bar directly above.

  • Concierge Veranda Staterooms 2101 and 2102 are next to public bathrooms and this could be an additional noise issue. We suggest locating farther aft on Deck 12 of the Solstice to avoid this potential concern.
  • On Deck 12 of the Solstice, Concierge Veranda Staterooms and Sky Suites (2115-2149 and 2114-2144) are situated just below the cafe, so there could be noise in the morning before and after 7:30am as staff prepare for the breakfast crowd, and this might be disturbing to travelers who like to sleep in. Because the cafe serves meals and snacks through the day, there could be noise from the diners as well as from staff clean-up after closing.
  • Sky Suites 2130, 2132, 2134, and 2136 are wheelchair accessible.
  • Aft on Deck 12 of the Solstice, Sky Suites 2151, 2153, 2155, 2150, 2148, and 2147 have beautiful aft views of the ocean. However, these suites are also underneath the bar and could have after hours noise issues.
  • Two Concierge Veranda Staterooms, 2157 and 2152, are situated between the aft Sky Suites on the Solstice's Deck 12. These staterooms have a great view of the ocean, but may share the same noise concerns from the bar directly above.
