Old & New Quebec City Tours
This 2 hour tour brings you to the exquisite 17th & 18th century architecture of Place Royale, where you'll see Notre Dame des Victoire (the oldest standing Catholic Church in North America). Chateau Fontenac, the Dufferin Terrace boardwalk, the National Battlefields Park, and Grand Allee are also featured.
Price: Adults expect to pay around $54.
Booking Advice: Excluding walking at Chateau Frontenac and Dufferin Terrace, this tour is typically considered to be easy in terms of physical exertion. For tours of Old Quebec, you'll find very competitive rates via third party vendors.
Best of Quebec and Countryside
This full day (7.5 hour) guided tour affords you the opportunity to experience Chateau Frontenac, Dufferin Terrace, the National Battlefields Park (with visiting actors in military dress), and Place Royale. Then, you're off to the beautiful Island of Orleans and Montmorency Falls. Lunch, which is included, is served at an Auberge on Ile d' Orleans.
Price: Adults expect to pay around $128.
Booking Advice: Because of the walking involved, this tour is typically regarded as moderate on activity level scales. Third party vendors do offer tours to many of these sites at competitive rates, but may not include lunch.
Romantic Dining in Quebec
A calash (horse & buggy) with a coachman in 19th century uniform takes you to an elegant dining establishment in Quebec's old quarter, where you will be surrounded by Victorian architecture. After your dining experience, opt to return to your ship via the Old Port pier or the buggy ride.
Price: Adults expect to pay $206.
Booking Advice: The coach rate is based on twp persons, and a limo is used instead during inclement weather. While this tour is rated as easy, some walking, including a few steps and a couple of buggy steps are involved. For those of you who don't want to go into the city, but would like to try the food, there's a great place to eat inside the cruise terminal. We also suggest dinner cruises via third party vendors for a slightly reduced price.
The Beaupre Coast, St. Anne Canyon, & the Winery
This tour combines the beauty of St. Anne Canyon, including the Montmorency Falls, with a bit of Quebec viniculture education and wine sampling. Your route to the canyon takes you along the St. Lawrence waterway, and an open air tram transports you to the canyon. This tour takes about 4 hours, and a light snack is included.
Price: Adults expect to pay around $80.
Booking Advice: Because of the walking involved, this tour is rated as moderate in terms of physical exertion. Third party vendors advertise tours of this canyon including a bakery and a chocolaterie (but minus the winery) for a bit less expense.
Quebec Countryside Tours
These four hour tours afford that opportunity to experience the beauty of the foothills of the Laurentian Mountain as you travel to Lake Beauport. You then go toward the coast to see Montmorency Falls, and have pastries with coffee or tea at Montmorency Manor. Along your way on Ile d' Orleans, you'll see splendid 19th century resort homes and visit a “sugar shack,” where you'll have a tour of the various products made from maple.
Price: Adults expect to pay around $76.
Booking Advice: While this tour is rated as easy on activity level scales, some of the walking may be difficult for those with physical challenges. This tour, in our opinion, would be absolutely THE thing to do in the Fall when the tree leaves turn into a riot of colors. That said, booking early instead of later is a great idea.
