Haleaka Crater and the Maui Ocean Center
This tour takes you by coach to the Haleaka Crater Rim, with opportunity to shop for black coral en route. The Haleaka Crater is 3 miles wide and over 7 miles long, and you'll see it from the crater rim. Then you visit the Maui Ocean Center. There are over 60 exhibits, and you'll see a Living Reef, the Touch Pool, the Marine Mammal Discovery Center, and the 54 foot transparent tube, the Living Journey, that you walk through and see sharks, tropical fish, and sea turtles. After your visit, you'll have a Hawaiian lunch and opportunity to look at the gift shop.

Essentially, from December to May, Humpback whales migrate to the ocean waters by Maui to mate and calve. A naturalist is one of the crew members on your boat, and as soon as whales are spotted, you are safely maneuvered to a good viewing location that will not disturb these incredible mammals!
