Cruise lines offer a number of shore excursions for sale when visiting Kona. Hilo City and Akaka Falls

You'll see Hilo City highlights, and visit Liliuokani Park and Nani Mau Gardens. You'll also walk through tropical forest and bamboo to the beautiful Akaki Falls!

Booking Advice: Because of the walking involved, this tour is rated as moderately physically taxing. Hilo Craters

You'll see tropical forests en route to the Volcanoes National Park, and view a film of the volcano erupting. Then, view the sulfur banks, the steam vents, the crater rim, the Lava Tube, and the fire goddess Pele's legendary home, the Halemaumau Fire Pit. Lunch is served at the Volcano House, and you'll see Hilo City highlights on the drive back.

Zodiac and Snorkeling
