You may wish to check out 3rd party shore excursions in Gibraltar to get a wider variety of options to choose from.

Taxi Tour to the top of Gibraltar

A taxi tour, which takes an hour and 45 minutes, is a great way to see the highlights of Gibraltar including the Cross of Sacrifice, St. Michael's Cave (with a great acoustic cave), the Apes' Den (fames Barbery Apes), and the lighthouse. En route back from the top of Gibraltar, you'll also see the Moorish Castle.

Booking Advice: These tours are rated as strenuous due to the walking involved. Taxi tours typically must have 6 persons in the tour group. You'll want to watch your purses, hats, and cameras when you're around the Barbery Apes!

Gibraltar & Tapas

These 2 hour tours by coach allow you to see Gibraltar highlights, including the incredible vistas at Catalan Bay. You'll see hotels by the Mediterranean, the American War Memorial, The Trafalgar Cemetary, and the Strairs of Gibraltar at Europa Point. Booking Advice: These tours are largely via coach and rated as easy in terms of physical exertion.

Upper Rock Walking Tour

One of the recommended activities on Gibraltar is the cable ride to the top, and that is how this 3.5 hour tour begins. Your guide then takes you down pathways. You'll explore St. Michael's Cave & have a photo op with the Barbery Apes at Apes' Den.

Fortress Gibraltar

On these hour and 45 minute tours, you'll see the Trinity Lighthouse, the Straits of Gibraltar, and Costa Del Solen route. At Hays Level, you'll then proceed to highlights of the fortress that include army accommodations, the tunnels, the hospital, the waterworks, and the natural caves. A snack in the cafeteria is usually included.

Third Party Shore Excursions in Gibraltar

Below are links to third-party shore excursion vendors in Gibraltar. These links will launch in a new browser window and are external sites. We bear no responsibility for the content or services offered at these sites.
3rd party shore excursions often have advantages over shore excursions sold by the cruise lines. Third party shore excursions can be less costly and feature smaller groups than shore excursions sold by the cruise lines. Often, the vendors you buy from directly are the same vendors used by the cruise lines themselves.

The benefit of buying shore excursions from the cruise line is that the vendors and pre-screened for safety and reliablity. While cruise lines shore excursions can be more expensive than buying direct from a local vendor, there is certainly peace of mind that the cruise line will be using a reliable, safe and trusted vendor. If you experience a problem with the vendor on a cruise line-sold shore excursion, the shore excursion managers onboard the cruise ship will likely be an invaluable resource to help settle disputes.
