Freeport Shore Excursion Guide

Cruise lines offer a number of shore excursions for sale when visiting Freeport. For your convenience, we have provided a sample listing below of the shore excursions typically sold by cruise lines that visit Freeport. You may wish to check out 3rd party shore excursions in Freeport to get a wider variety of options to choose from.

Lucaya Beaches & Shopping

These shore excursions provide you transportation to Lucaya, which is a suburb of Freeport, and may include a meal, opportunity to shop at the Lucaya Marketplace, and (of course) beach lounging. This activity is considered to be easy, and lasts for 4 hours.
 
Price: Adults expect to pay $66 - $100
 
Booking Advice: This is one shore excursion that you can do yourself at significant savings. Taxi rental to Lucaya from the cruise port is about 5 USD, renting a beach chair will run you 20 USD, and it's our understanding that there are plenty of moderately priced places for meals at the marketplace!

Dolphin Encounters

Ranging from easy to moderate in terms of difficulty, dolphin encounters from Freeport are both educational and exciting! These excursions usually include wonderful information about dolphins before you begin your encounter!

Booking Advice: Third party excursions for the basic UNEXSO encounter can be less expensive than those available through the cruise line. Dolphin swims and dives can include a boat ride to locations where you'll be encountering these incredible mammals in free ocean space, and these activities tend to be rated as moderate (as opposed to easy) in difficulty. Most encounters take about two hours.

Sailing & Snorkeling

Sailing & snorkeling excursions take you to prime locations to explore the pristine ocean waters where you'll see the brilliantly colorful marine life of the Bahamas for yourself! Most excursions last about 4 hours, and are considered to be moderate in difficulty.
