Trishna is considered a "do not miss!" restaurant by close to all who have eaten here. The interior decor is rather plain and ordinary (some go so far as to call it "unstylish"), however, the food is the reason folks flock to Trishna. Seafood is the specialty, with king crab, lobster, jumbo prawns and various types of seafood tandoori, but there are also plenty of meat and vegetarian choices on the menu as well. Butter pepper garlic king crab is Trishna's signature dish, but you'll also find pomfrets (fish) and tiger prawns (prepared as the guest specifies) cooked to perfection. Wasabi by Morimoto is rated as one of the world's top 100 eateries. This is by far Mumbai's top Japanese restaurant – and definitely a place for fans of celebrity chef Masahuru Morimoto, aka "Iron Chef." Seafood of top quality is flown in from around the world for the extensive sushi and sashimi menu (which features sea urchin, flying fish roe, sweet shrimp, jackfish, and fatty tunny), and there's also an extensive vegetarian selection, something not usually available in Japanese restaurants. For a bit of "the wow factor" right at your table, order the ishi yaki "buri bop" -- a yellowtail dish prepared on a hot stone right in front of you. Other menu items needing special mention are the miso marinated black cod and the Chilean sea bass in black bean sauce, ginger and shaved scallion. Don't neglect to try the wasabi crème brûlée - you'll be glad you did. Prices are Sushi/sashimi Rs 325-Rs 500 per piece, Rs 2,050-Rs 3,945 assorted, Sushi mrolls Rs 500-Rs 750, Main courses Rs 825-Rs 1,575, Teppanyaki Rs 875-Rs 1,550.
