Buzios Cruise Destination Guide

In the 1960's, when Brigitte Bardot and her boyfriend were swamped by paparazzi, the film star felt imprisoned in the apartment until the two secretly left for Buzios. And that was how Brigitte Bardot stayed months longer than planned and fell in love with Buzios Port, this sleepy little village that has some of the most beautiful and secluded beaches in the world!

Since that time, Buzios has become a resort beach town for the rich and famous, and now the town population explodes five times its 20,000 during peak tourist season. Once the preserve of pirates and slave traders, the peninsula boasts over 20 beaches in the vicinity. Buzios port has bars, seafood restaurants, and nightclubs. The west coast beaches offer calm, clear waters for sunbathers, while the east coast beaches facing the open sea are a bit more wild and draw surfers and water sports enthusiasts.
