Using WiFi, Cell Phones and Internet on the Celebrity Constellation

You can access the internet on the Celebrity Constellation. There is also an internet cafe on the Celebrity Constellation.

The Celebrity Constellation is WiFi at specified hot spots throughout the ship and in the Internet Cafe. The Celebrity Constellation does provide PC's at Online Celebrity on Penthouse Deck (Deck 6). You can choose from the Celebrity Constellation "pay-as-you-go" rate with your own laptop. As long as your computer is WiFi enabled, you should be able to get internet access on while onboard the Celebrity Constellation.

Mac OS Users -- download the Firefox web browser before you get on the ship if you plan on accessing the Internet while onboard. We have reports of compatibility issues with the Safari web browser that may prevent you from getting online.

The following packages are available:

• The In and Out Package is $24.95 for 49 minutes,
• The In Touch Package is $49.95 for 90 minutes,
• The Informed Package is $99.95 fror 208 minutes.
• The Interact Package is for $199.95 for 555 minutes.
• The Involved Package is $399.95 for 1666 minutes.

If you want don't buy a package, it's 75 cents per minute. Please note that Celebrity may change these prices without advance notification.

You can make and receive phone calls and text messages (SMS) while onboard the Celebrity Constellation.

Cell phone roaming is enabled on the Celebrity Constellation; however, the system can be pricey as the price plans feature international roaming rates and data charges (this can be very expensive). Contact your mobile phone operator to ensure that your account is activated for international roaming and inquiry as to per minute rates and data charges. As of August 2009, all the major US mobile operators as well as Rogers Wireless in Canada are available on the Celebrity Constellation. There are also several mobile operators whom are available on the Celebrity Constellation.

WiFi, Cell Phones and Internet on the Celebrity Constellation Tips:

• Some free minutes may be offered the first day during embarkation. Check with the Internet manager for specific details.
• It doesn't matter whether you bring your own computer or use the computers on the ship. The price is the same.
• Think dial up speed when connecting on the ship. If you are sending emails, get all of your writing done offline and then just connect when you actually send them.
