Using WiFi, Cell Phones and Internet on the Azamara Journey
You can access the internet on the Azamara Journey -- there is WiFi on the entire ship. There is also an internet cafe on the Azamara Journey.
The Azamara Journey is WiFi enabled throughout the ship, including staterooms. The Azamara Journey does provide 16 PC's at the "eConnections" Internet cafe located on the Deck 9. You can choose from the Azamara Journey "pay-as-you-go" rate with your own laptop. As long as your computer is WiFi enabled, you should be able to get internet access on while onboard the Azamara Journey.
The following packages are available:
Occasional is $29.95 for 49 minutes,
Standard is $49.95 for 90 minutes,
Social is $79.95 for 150 minutes
Power package is $99.95 for 237 minutes.
If you want don't buy a package, its 65 cents per minute.
You can make and receive phone calls and text messages (SMS) while onboard the Azamara Journey.
Cell phone roaming is enabled on the Azamara Journey, however, the system can be pricey as the price plans feature international roaming rates and data charges (this can be very expensive). Contact your mobile phone operator to ensure that your account is activated for international roaming and inquiry as to per minute rates and data charges.
As of August 2009, all the major US mobile operators as well as Rogers Wireless in Canada are available on the Azamara Journey. There are also several mobile operators whom are available on the Azamara Journey.

Some free minutes may be offered the first day during embarkation. Check with the internet manager for specific details.
It doesn't matter whether you bring your own computer or use the computers on the ship. The price is the same.
Think dial up speed when connecting on the Azamara Journey. If you are sending emails, get all of your writing done offline and then just connect when you actually send them.
