Explorer of the Seas Pool, Water Slide and Sunbathing
The Explorer of the Seas has 2 separately designated pool areas. There is the "Solarium" pool, which is "adults only" pool; it is flanked by two whirlpools. The Main pool area is separated by a bridge into two areas that leads to the pool bar. All pools are salt water, and are located on Deck 11.
Adventure Beach is located on Deck 12, and is next to the Adventure Ocean kids' area. There's a splash area, a couple of different slides, and an adjacent pool.
All pools are open 24 hours a day unless otherwise posted. For Adventure Beach, check with the Adventure Ocean Directors or the kids' Cruise Compass for hours.
Explorer of the Seas Pool, Water Slide & Sunbathing Tips:
Babies & Infants in Pools: Royal Caribbean's official policy is "no swim diapers, children must be potty trained." The Explorer of the Seas Ocean Program stresses this point to all the families that bring their kids. We have not heard reports on whether the policy is strictly enforced.
Adult is defined for pool purposes as anybody 16 and over.
One of the main pools and one of the whirlpools have hydraulic lifts for the disabled.
