The La Fontaine Dining Room

Art Deco lighting and a painted glass ceiling await you at the Amsterdam's La Fontaine restaurant. The La Fontaine is a two tiered main dining room with the main entrance located on the Amsterdam's deck four.

Breakfast is served in the main dining room from 7:00am to 10:00am, and, lunch is served from noon to 2:30pm. Breakfast and lunch are open-seating. For dinner, the early dinner time is 5:45pm and 6:15pm, and, the main dinner time is 7:45pm and 8:15pm. Holland America Line does offer As You Wish Dining where you can show-up at any during the dinner hours and be seated as a table comes available. However, it is advised that you inform the Maître D' of your preferred dining time prior to 4 PM. You can choose As You Wish Dining when you book your cruise. Once on the ship, any guest is welcome to ask the Maître D' for a preferred dining time and they will do their best to accomodate your request.

Cuisine in the Amsterdam's Main Dining Room

The La Fontaine menu items includes starters such as fruit, smoked salmon, and baked shrimp with remoulade as well as soups and salads. Sirloin, veal, poultry, pasta, fish, and vegetarian are among daily entrees. Salmon is a classic favorite aboard the Amsterdam. Desserts, by most accounts tempting, also vary daily. Chef recommended fare and Holland America's Greenhouse Spa Cuisine are highlighted on the menu. The La Fontaine boasts a list of over 70 white and red wines.

Holland America Line As You Wish Dining

Throughout your Holland America Amsterdam cruise, you'll be able to savor cuisine as you wish on your time! From 5:15pm to 9:00pm, the main dining room provides first come, first serve seating on the first floor of La Fontaine. There may be a wait time, and seating for As You Wish is on the first tier of the restaurant. When you are booking your cruise, you'll have the option to reserve Early Dining, Main Dining, or As You Wish Dining. Once aboard, you can make reservations for anytime dining for the La Fontaine until 4:00pm - even if you already have been assigned Early or Late seating.
